| This.
I'm localizing the game in another language and I'd like to know how to change the texts in the cutscenes (for example intro video) and all those texts that you see up on the left of the screen (for example generic dialogues that don't require an answer). Thanks in advance. | |

| Oh, I've been working on that. Many of them are in the .dlg files, but not all of them. I'll look into it a little | |

| Hey Ninja, I can't give you the paths to all the files you need for localization right now. You can find a lot of them in the \vampire\vdata\ subdirectories. As another idea how to find the files you need to edit: download both the english and the german version of the unofficial patch, install both of them in different empty directories, and compare them with WinMerge or some similar program. - | |

| vdata was mostly for the computer terminals, popup windows, item descriptions, notes you can find in different places, and the general screen texts like masquerade changes. The spoken tv text is newscaster.dlg But I don't know if there can be subtitles for that. That textline at the bottom of the tv screen is probably somewhere in the materials folder, if it's not in \vdata\signs Some of the files you are looking for probably aren't unpacked for the english version of the patch, because they were never changed. Then you can only find them if you dig through the vpk archives. - | |
