i know you dont like clan specific addons but i feel that blood magic was not given the power it should have,
i mean there is so many more spells in the the book then in the game.
like my own idea "blood Aura" where you can (to an extent) steal the powers of other vampires(like use celerity rank 1) for a short time.
im jsut trying to point out that blood magic was not given its proper respect in the game

Thaumaturgy does aggravated damage and soaks it.

Have you ever played pen and paper ? Do you know where it comes from ? Do you understand what thaumaturgy means for a Tremere ?

yes what did you think i meant when i said "book"
and yeah it dose do a lot of damage but im talking more on the diversity of spells not the power of them
i like to play as a eldritch prodigy and get that item that boost it further and kill most humans in one hit

You have no idea what thaumaturgy is, in the true RPG game (the pen and paper), right ?
Rituals vs Paths, ideologies, studies...

Anyway, the only way to show the proper uses of thaumaturgy would be that we'd create a mod where all clans would be Tremere (on different paths, so, creating all disciplines as being Auspex, Dominate and thaumaturgy). BUT ! The PC was embraced outside of the pyramid. Thaumaturgy is not a innate discipline, and nobody taught him. There's no reason he knows the Path of Counter Magic or the Pavis of Foul Presence ritual. They all asks for years and years of studies and being allowed by the clan.

Rituals are more formulaic in nature, akin to the ancient magical "spells" of bygone nights.
and you say we should make a mod that lets a Gangrol use blood magic?

No, my friend, Claudia ment all Clans would be Clan Tremere's Neonates with diverse primary Paths of Thaumaturgy... Straining the cannon as it is, since Path of Blood has to be learnt first to use the Blood to propel either Paths or Rituals, that would give us Tremere Edition mod. So all paths would be used. As it is there is a limit on targeted Disciplines within the game engine. Same limit on how many Disciplines one Character could wield...
You see, I have broached this very idea over a year ago on this forum. Topic's title contained Thaumaturgy in its name. Use search button, Neonate.

i am no neonate
and my apologies for misspelling your clan name(for my spelling sucks not my knowledge)
and i understand how the paths work, but as there is a "last night" mod where you can play as the other clans
can we not make a mod where you can go further into the tremere?
and not all paths are tremere exclusive

and i see what you mean, you would need 14 clans so that each selection gives you the blood, and 2 other paths (the 3 discipline max ), but couldn't we just make it were you chose you paths?
or just rework the engine itself and add more then 3 per character?

Engine limitations = 7 clans only and X number of targeted disciplines. No way of changing this

Thaumaturgical Countermagic is a Discipline-like power which can cancel the effects of blood sorcery. As its name suggests, it specifically targets Thaumaturgy, though it can be used with reduced effectiveness against other forms of blood magic. The secrets of Thaumaturgical Countermagic are even more jealously guarded by the Tremere than the paths and rituals of Thaumaturgy itself, for it is a skill which any vampire may learn, even if they are incapable of mastering blood magic.

Nice copy paste.

The engine is so old, and it's so badly done that no, it can't be reworked. Oblivion's engine is AWESOMELY done for modding, since it was made so modders could work on it. VTMB, no.

then we need to stop fighting amongst ourselves go take a copy of Skyrim and do a full overhaul like the did for Nehirme and make a new vampire game..cuz its looking like theres not gonna be a new one anytime soon
