can anyone tell me where the conversation sound files are? the actual sound when you have a convo with a character. and what format they are in? i can't seem to find them

Welcome on the forums! Stick around, we can always use new blood/guinuea pigs around here. We run out so quickly of suitable materials to work on.

As for your question:
In your Vampire the Masqeruade:Bloodlines folder > Vampire > sound > character > dlg.
You'll see the folders containing characters for every location, as well as a seperate folder for the main npc's. All soundfiles are in .mp3 format.

Welcome to the forum, newblood Very Happy

The mp3s are unpacked there. But the first file the dialog engine looks for is not the mp3. It first looks for the vcd-file. That contains the info where to find the mp3, who the speaker is, how long it takes to play the sound, what gestures...
The vcd and the lip files are in the same directory as the mp3, but they usually don't get unpacked.
