I'm going to state possible glitches due to running VTM on a windows 8 machine. I'll post them as I progress through the game. No crashes to report during Santa Monica play.

1. Lagging dialogue. Not to bad but still common during game play

2. When blowing up the warehouse, and you meet Beckett, he stays in wolf form during your conversation. Pretty funny but a glitch just the same.

I wonder if this is an issue with Bloodlines in general or exclusively TFN related. In case of the former I don't think there is much Zer0 can do.

The types of issues you're having sound more to me like the types of issues plaguing a corrupted install. Being that you've introduced a new operating system into the fold adds a new variable to the mix however so it could be because you're playing on Windows 8. Let the record show that neither Bloodlines nor TFN was ever meant to run on Windows 7 or 8 as both me, and Troika developed our parts of it using XP.

Right now I am developing TFN 1.2 on Windows 7 because I want to create it on a newer OS, but for proper play testing I will technically need to try it out on both 7 and XP before releasing it. When it comes time for beta testing with TCI members I will be asking for half 7 users and half XP users to test it. I honestly don't think I'll even bother with Windows 8 testing EVER because by the time 8 is main stream, I will had probably retired from modding Bloodlines.

We'll see, but as of right now TFN officially only supports Windows XP and 7, along with the standard 4:3 video format with 1280 x 1024 being the optimum resolution to play at (mostly because of font size reasons).

It's all right guys. I'm just reporting issues and things that I've never had problems before with in the previous OS just for reference in case it happens to others as I'm sure I won't be the only person playing this game on windows 8. Personally I'm not complaining at all. I think it's doing very well considering the system it's running on. These are minor issues so far and I never sweat the small stuff. Talking to Beckett in wolf form was hilarious!! Ya know that conversation seemed better for some reason because when you ask him why he's been following you it worked perfectly with seeing him watching you on the cliff by the pier earlier.

Please note that what I report are things that are truly unique to the gaming experience I have with this game on Windows 8. I'm speaking in terms of comparing it to Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 compared to Windows 8. Of course my experience with FN has only been windows 7 til now. I've played this game on all three previous systems so if I come across something that I've seen before, and I've seen a lot...there will be nothing to tell because this would be a common issue. In all honesty I think if I was playing this without any MOD, I'd be running into real problems. It seemed like installing the Final Nights 1.1 MOD actually helped stabilize the game's over all performance. That's definitely something to take note on. The game actually uses the entire monitor screen without effort. That's a plus!
