And while it's soulless, the body is also ripe for being posessed by wraiths or the rare demon, so precautions against that will have to be done as well.

I do realize how unpleasant the idea of having your soul taken to be cleansed and the possibility of a demon or ghost of possessing your body would be, which is why I leave it to the person in question to decide whether or not they want their soul to be cleaned.
