How about bribery as another option to influence people in addition to Persuade, Seduce, Intimidate, Dominate and the Malkavian Heebie-geebies? As usual, I have no idea how hard it would be to implement, but it strikes me as adding another aspect of realism to the game. And it would give players yet another thing to do with their money. Maybe it's just me, but I don't always pump a lot of XP into Persuade, and I don't think I've ever put a single XP into Intimidate (and I usually stop with a Seduction just high enough to feed on the Santa Monican prostitutes).

Where would we put the extra Skill in the character sheet? It seems rather full these days, lol.

Not as a skill, as an option in dialogue. If you have enough money, you'd be given the option to bribe the NPC to do or or say or agree with whatever you trying to get him to do or say or agree with. Not sure what color, since green is already used for Intimidation. A formula like "$50 x the level of appropriate social skill or Discipline needed" (or something like that).

Or for the hookers, if you pay their price, rather than have them tell you you need to take them someplace private, they simply let you feed as if you successfully Seduced them.

Actually the Barter skill already does this. If you open up a dialogue line for a hooker, the higher your Barter skill is the cheaper you can get them to sleep with you. In fact this is the case in many dialogue options for those with a higher Barter skill.

We could of course make this feature more prevelant in game...

But you can't get to the Seduction option by paying money, at least not that I've seen.

You'd have to put a barter option into the dialog files. While I think this is possible, it would be a lot of work, and working on the .dlg files is hell Evil or Very Mad
If there were a useable .dlg editor, it might be possilble, but the only one I'm aware of is basically worthless because you can only change the actual text, not the conditions and actions.

Well, then I happily volunteer someone else to make a better dialogue editor. albino

If you get a "Police Hunting" message, might it be possible for the first cop who shoots at you to trigger a dialogue or some other pop-up that offers you the opportunity to bribe them to go away?

Of course avoiding police is as simple as crouching in the sewers anyway, so its primarily just there for flavor. But a small bribe would also suit the flavor of WoD.
