I love vampire games.
I think this is true for most people who play Bloodlines, or at least, they come to love vampire games after experiencing what it's like to feel immortal. After reading through the Manual for Camarilla Edition, I thought that it could have been written by me, I was so in sync with everything the author said. I'm a fanatic for Vampire: The Masquerade (and Requiem, although I prefer VtM) and have played through both Redemption and Bloodlines more times than I could count.
Bloodlines is singularly one of the best games I've ever played, particularly because of the subject matter it dealt with, but the game suffered from a lot of issues. Despite this fact, I cherished it close to my heart and played over and over. Before I knew it, I'd learned everything there was to know, played through every gender of every clan at least twenty times, until the day came when I sadly realized that I was no longer having any real fun with the game like I once did. This was a fairly heart breaking realization, like reaching the end of a fantastic novel. Though you want the book to keep going, it simply doesn't.
Then I discovered Camarilla Edition.
I'd learned about it simply by browsing through YouTube. Could it be? Could it be that there were others out there like me, other people who longed for all of the various problems of Bloodlines to be corrected...and actually were in a position to do something about it? I had to know. Since then, it's been two days since I downloaded and installed Camarilla Edition 1.2. This patch has allowed me to fall in love with my favorite game all over again, and words can't express how grateful I am to everyone who brought the dream I secretly harbored into reality. Blood loss, expanded content, skins, disciplines...the list goes on and on, it's everything I could have hoped for and more.
I'm not a programmer or have any working knowledge of computers beyond how to click 'next' when installing something, but I am a rabid fan, and though the boys at Troika aren't together anymore it's amazing to discover a community of players working to improve on the game they started. To everyone who helped Camarilla Edition become a reality:
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
