During loading screen I read that when you losing control over beast there will be different options in conversation... WTF? That's new in TFN, or it's in vanilla VtMB? I always had max humanity.. but if this is true, it seems cool, maybe i would try that..

It was already in vanilla. For example I remember that my low humanity Gangrel commented that the DMP tape was fun.

Yep, that happens in the vanilla version of the game. Not TO often mind you, but just enough to make it feel like the game really acknowledges your murderous tendencies.

It happens also during the Plaguebearer quests, about every discussion with Andrei, and I recall with Beckett as well in the Museum.

Just murder a few people in Santa Monica by draining them dry or stealth killing them in allyways while they're taking a piss. Razz

Well, I'd like to take credit for my humane acts, but I really give Mercurio the morphine for the XP.

However, I just don't see the point in killing people for no reason. It's wasteful, and causes more trouble than it's worth. Just like real life. Neutral

For example, the minor chuckle gained from seeing low humanity dialog is not worth taking time from my quests to murder bystanders, or deal with those pesky Hunters. Even after this many playthroughs of Bloodlines (est. 50+; I stopped counting long ago), the low humanity route doesn't appeal to me.

I give him the morphine because I poke in to get Malcolms email to begin with, so I don't lose anything by doing it :p

I played low humanity only once though (and that was for testing), like PGM, low humanity just doesn't cut it for the lulz.

did it once just to see what it'd be like. It was funny enough, but I do generally prefer going the more humane route. Does tend to give more xp too :p

In vanilla I usally had high Humanity and I didn't really put in that much effort. With TFN I tend to walk the line between good and evil, with about 5-7 in Humanity. The exception was my Salubri who had high Humanity from healing everyone. The interesting thing is that I played about the same in vanilla as I do in TFN, but TFN simply has more ways to lose it. For example I lost Humanity when I broke into Hannah's safe which at time I thought was nonsense. She was dead, it's not like she still needed any of that stuff.

I made a point to get low humanity on my Baali.
I also got it on my Assamite to a lesser degree.

Another side effect of Low humanity is when you meet the guy heather locked in the bathroom, if you dont treat him ok, you get to have one final line of dialogue at his arrogance "I can't hold it....ROAR"

You frenzy automatically.

Yea. I quite like it. Twisted Evil

For me it all depends. In vanilla I have difficulties dropping below 8. In CE I usually go up in the beginning with all the gain humanity options in Santa Monica. Then I tend to drop down to a level about 6, and stay there for the mid game. Later in chinatown and after, I get up again. For the one TFN game I played to the end, I had some problems to keep it at least at 4 or more. Had to use all the dance spots, but at least I could manage without applying xp.

I need to make an official post about this but in TFN 1.2, your Humanity will be tied to your bloodloss. As you drop in Humanity, your blood will be used faster so now there will actually be a REAL reason to keep your humanity at higher levels.

I would like to incorporate a way to earn extra XP for doing cleverly evil deeds, or earn money in a similiar way. So you can be rich and full of XP, but spending blood much faster. Ideas ideas, so many ideas.

Can you code....Paths? I'd love my Baali to let go of Humanity and adopt Path of Evil Revelations.

Shamefully I don't know enough about VTM to know what paths are. But if I did, then it's possible I suppose, depending on what paths do.

Paths are what the Sabbat and some older Kindred use to keep their Beast in check instead of humanity. There are quite a few far as I know.

The problem with Paths is that :
There are shitloads of them
And they are all are unlikely to be coded.

http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Path_of_Evil_Relevations

It's all subject to interpretation, to ST's choice, and to role playing choices. Even humanity runs with trouble (even killing an assailant attacking you should make you have remorses.. except in 'murica of course Oo)

I just finished reading the link that Claudia gave and the first thing I must ask myself is, how would this or any other path be related to in-game terms. The only way I see it right now is through dialogue and specific path-based quests. This would take so much time to develop properly with such a little return in entertainment for the player. I think the limited time of me and my developers would be better used on new content with a larger return for player entertainment. New content like new finishing the player models, expanded quests, more histories, bug fixes, reworked disciplines, music or graphical improvements, etc.... would be a better way to spend our time. Another big idea I've been having for nearly 2 years is to revamp all of the player dialogue to better fit the clan they are playing. What makes a Malkavian so much fun to play in CE? The unique dialogue, it's different than every other clan. Imagine this in TFN but for every clan, the replay value would be huge.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

I have doubts about paths being worth the effort it would take to implement them, but I really like the sound of dialogue being unique to each clan.
