PostSubject: Grand Theatre - Déambulatoire Monday March 28th 2011   Tue Dec 17, 2013 2:10 pm

Organized by Laure Nolveaux, Elysium Keeper, and Celine, the Prince's personal ghoul and Seneschal, the first day of the week's Elysium night is a promising one ; rumors of the Thursday attack have reached all ears, including the fact that the Tremere held a prisoner from one of those attacks.

The news also reported the attacks as some sort of drug and poverty fights between certain groups ; blacks versus arab trafiquants trying to get more territory) and that the one entering the Saint Eloi Church was just a rogue who wanted to act against the very conservative, fairly racist and rumored neo-nazi Catholic Church's community (this rogue apparently was too drunk and killed himself in the process, which have people facepalming about it all over national news.
News also report widely the Arab Springs starting to hit attention ; there are rumors of the Tunisian and Algerian communities of France wanting to gather and support the revolt. Alliot-Marie, curent minister of foreign affairs (you can read it here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mich%C3%A8le_Alliot-Marie ) offered to Ben Ali (the Tunisian leader) to send in the French Elite Police to defend his regime, which of course is leading to real big social tensions, including in Bordeaux.
Local news talked about a crazy person who had broken into the Theater and tried to rape the receptionist, but that she defended herself with a rifle the Theater is available to have and use at night (or so the TV said). The police closed the case without much further investigation, and the place was probabluy cleaned before 10am of Monday.
The university of Bordeaux 3 is on strike for two days starting Monday morning, until Wednesday, to protest the insecurity and the xenophobia in town, but also protesting their own losses because of the River's drowning and the Binge Drinking. They are demanding better security precautions as well as sobering up buses. They of course do not protest against the partying... and it's probably just an excuse not to go to class.

There are also national complains in the papers about big issues of a very rich Bordeaux Family that was somehow held hostage by some guru, is being prosecuted (read here : http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2010/08/aristocrats-and-demons-201008 and here : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/9674704/Oxford-guru-jailed-for-swindling-French-aristocrats.html and here http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/french-aristocrats-break-free-from-sect-leader-1851468.html)

However, the Vigipirate plan has been slightly raised, and there is a slightly more important police presence in town ; commercial streets, the Theater, and probably in bars and crowded places. What is most noticable is that there are also a few soldiers in town, with the big guns and stuff (please clic : http://www.bienpublic.com/fr/images/F2187698-3F11-4E27-B828-3EC478E7F6AF/LBP_03/la-gare-de-bordeaux-etait-hier-sous-haute-surveillance-avec-le-passage-du-plan-vigipirate-au-rouge-renforce-photo-pqr-sud-ouest-laurent-theillet.jpg ) ; there's one patroling around the Theater, and according to TV and local free news papers, also in the train stations and watching over some gathering places.

The Déambulatoire, on the second floor of the Theater (remember, ground floor, then first floor, then second floor), is being held as a private gathering, fairly discreet.

The Opera of Bordeaux is performing Lucio Silla, a Mozart play, starting 8pm. People entering, going in and out, hanging out in night gowns and in more regular clothes are pretty numerous, so it's fairly easy for Kindred meant to attend Elysium to blend in the crowd and slip through. Of course, the Nosferatu have a harder time, but Laure seemingly arranged someway to allow them upstairs ; waiting for the play to start so there are much less people in the entrances and else. Extravagant clothes and designer clothes allow someone like Doctor to step inside fairly easily as he hides behind a mask and seemingly act as if he was one of the actors of the play.

The official meeting and discussions concerning the Prisoner Frederic Vonzel, who had presented himself as Ventrue in the sixties and had only stayed a couple of years, is scheduled to start at 1am, or so the info has circulated starting sunset (mostly through phonecalls and texts). Theodore warned Duncan and Gregory warned Miriel that their presence is requested at midnight in Elysium as Gosuin wants to hear them out as witnesses. It also seems the Gargoyle should be present, and if the Gargoyle is present, there is a good chance of having a jumpy happy Nosferatu wanting to ask it way too many questions. Alicia's presence was requested as well to explain her ghoul's behavior.
This leaves early birds time to gather and hang out a little, but also to manage and get done with some business first.

Because of their closeness (as she obviously slept in the Chantry), Claudia is fairly early to arrive, and she seems slightly more serious than they was before.
Gosuin also seemed to be there quite early and seems to be discussing a few details with Laure Nolveaux and Gregory Darvault, prior for him to attend the play downstairs. Claudia is politely waiting for them to finish so she could join her friend.

A fairly short individual standing at only 1.6meters with short blonde hair and a mustache that appears to have been trimmed using a ruler makes his way casually through the crowd. The slight scowl marring his features seem to indicate he'd really rather not be there at the theater, almost as though he'd been forced to come along with someone despite him arriving alone.

The figure briefly suppresses a yawn of boredom, then puts both hands back in the pockets of his white fitted dress pants. Though in terms of general demeanor he stands out just a little, in terms of appearance he fit right in with the rich and powerful. The suit he wears is pure white, lighter even than his unusually pale skin -which almost made it seem not so extremely pale-, and obviously fitted to his body by someone with no small amount of experience in the field. The color of his dress shirt underneath is a dark red with the top button needlessly kept open. There is a slight glint of silver that hints at the existence of a necklace. Over his shoulder hangs a hardcover laptop bag. A small metal trinket dangles from the strap and forms the only form of decoration on the bag.

Spotting a familiar small figure in the crowd, Christopher turns and makes his way over there. “So exactly why am I here again?” He asks as he comes up behind Claudia, putting an emphasis on the 'why', and keeping a moderately displeased tone to his voice.

Christopher makes his way up to the Deambulatoire as Claudia had explained him the night before. She turns, half surprised at the voice, and nods as she hears him. She gives a glance to the few others present, and signs Celine it's okay, that he's with her. She mutters low a few words, then nods
(Claudia) You're still wearing the Primogen's.. good.

She indicates the few Kindred discussing.
(Claudia) The woman is the Elysium keeper, my friend Laure Nolveaux. The man with glasses is Gregory Darvault, he is the Toreador Primogen. The third person is Prince Gosuin. I have no personal influence here, as I'm mostly seen as.. well..

subterfuge >2:

(Claudia) Just a fairly old neonate, I guess. So regardless of what I say, my opinion and words have little weight. I trust Primogen Kersten gave you a few insights on our terms, like I've done as well ?.. uh, please don't get killed?

She's fairly apologetic about it.

Neb-uau follows behind and slightly to the left of Emilio as they walk into the Déambulatoire. Neb stands about 193.04 centimeters. He is of Arabic decent with a chiseled jaw, generous mouth and bright red hair. His gold eyes take in the grandeur of the Déambulatoire. Neb is wearing a tailored Italian suit, grey with a silver shirt and a black tie. He spies Claudia and smiles in her direction, but waits for Emilio to take the lead in what he wants him to do.

Celine notices Emilio and nods, letting them go upstairs. The older Setite gives the ghoul a charming smile before continuing as if nothing. The Snake takes his time, enjoying seeing many mortals all dressed up. Emilio himself didn't bother more than necessary ; he wears regular dark jeans, a plain T-shirt, but a suit's vest above it and formal shoes to have a semi formal look. He doesn't wear any jewelry but he does have a fairly fancy watch.
Emilio takes his time to let Neb admire the surroundings and the very elegant mortals downstairs. It seems the new Setite hasn't been unnoticed, as some people give a glance, curious and interested. And then it stroke him ; Neb is not white caucasian, so he stands out because he is a visible minority.

Once in the Deambulatoire, there are very few people attending yet, but it's also going to be very clear that upper Bordeaux society are all white, local, bourgeois and probably fairly racist in their behavior. Arabs and darker skinned people are seen quite badly. Emilio, of mixed origins as well (probably Spanish) stands far less out because his kindred paleness makes him look fairly more "at place" ; his choice of clothing makes him look fairly local because he doesn't wear neither "gangish" nor super formal clothes. Regardless he did not give Neb any indication of what to wear and what not to wear, obviously not caring too much about it.
Emilio will give a slight glance at Claudia and Christopher, which he recognizes from the night before.

(Emilio) That's the guy she was with.

He then gives a look at the other three, in Gosuin's room, with doors open.
(Emilio) The Toreador Primogen, the Prince, and the Elysium keeper.

Neb certainly recognized them already from the teachings he had with Mephisto and Emilio when they described the Court.

Neb-uau glances at Christopher, then whispers to Emilio.

Yes, she said he was presenting himself to join the Camarilla tonight.

Looks to the Prince, Primogen and Elysium keeper.

Yes I recognize them from your training. When am I to meet them formally?

Corinna arrives later than Claudia and Griffin, but not so much that it'd be memorable. After all, she's not known as outgoing, even if she regularly attends Elysium. She wears her usual dark blue suit, hair put up in a tight bun, and looks less glamorous than most of the mortal guests attending this evening, though she manages to fit right in with the staff of the night's production - most mortals merely glance over her businesslike attire once and then forget about her quiet presence.
She makes her way to the second floor, and heads to her clanmates seemingly instinctively. She offers polite greetings to them, even to Christopher, and then falls silent. She keeps looking around, observing the others somewhat attentively, but doesn't give the impression that she is eavesdropping on Claudia's and Christopher's conversation.

Christopher follows Claudia's gestures as she indicates and names the three individuals ahead. He observes each one briefly, committing name and appearance to memory while also making something of an attempt to tell their current mood. The better their mood, the less bootlicking he would have to do to keep his head attached to his neck. Probably.

The vampire suppresses a scoff that would've suspiciously sounded something like 'Cammie politics', and turns back to Claudia. He raises an eyebrow at her troubles with defining her own position at Court.
“A fairly old neonate?” He repeats after her, a grin playing over his lips. “I do believe they have a different word for them. 'Failures'.” His grin widens as he says that, letting the words hang in the air. After a moment he shrugs, hand idly waving as though to wave his words away. “And I hardly believe you would fall in that category, because they end up seeing the light while the rest of us sleeps. Even more so since Lyle's your Sire, so keep that chin up already.”

A dark little chuckle escapes Chris when Claudia pleas to him not to get killed. His voice holds an amused and lighthearted tone to it as he speaks, a stark contrast to his actual words. “Oh I have no intentions of getting myself killed. I've lived through to much just to get killed here and now. But if it does happen.” A dangerous light briefly glints in his eyes. His voice remains as before. “Well, I have no intentions of meeting the Devil alone in that case.” He sends a wink to the Tremere before him, then turns briefly to regard the new arrival that stopped near them. The vampire acknowledges her presence, but doesn't go out of his way to return the polite greeting she gave him.

“Buuut, to return to your questions. Yes, I have been educated well, and I will play nice.” He smirks widely, leaning to Claudia a little to tauntingly whisper to her. “For now.”

Jean-Pierre Griffin actually walked in with Corinna (because he wasn't there :p). Once they are inside, however, he parts with his clan mate, mumbling something about "let the game start", gives a glance to Emilio and Neb, and takes notes in a small notebook he keeps on himself, certainly what he will use to complete harpy logs after.
The Harpy also sets his eyes a little longer on Christopher, and seeing Claudia with him seems to be enough of an explanation.

Laure leaves Gosuin and Darvault with a slight sigh, as if she had found out news that displeased her, but nothing could be done about it. She approaches Griffin after having acknowledged everyone else's presence.
Claudia smiles to Corinna when she gets closer, and indicates Christopher, wording silently that he's the person that the Chantry's boards talk about, and that she had mentionned already to Corinna by phone. With a certain discouragement, she words out.

(Claudia) That's "Primogen Kersten", please..

She tries again to correct Chris' words on Lyle Kersten. She seems fairly confident, and somehow takes the "failure" argument as a compliment. She speaks a little lower, trying to explain once more, so that Corinna and Chris (and anyone very curious) could hear. She's not saying any secret so she doesn't bother too much.
(Claudia) He still tries to deny my Sire's titles and status.. The person you saw before was my grandsire, and he is not our Regent anymore. Regent Kersten inherited both his titles, Primogen and Regent in the forties..

As the young Tremere looks around a moment, she gives a smile to Neb when she notices him, and makes a slight wave to indicate both to him and to Emilio that she'll see them soon enough.

Emilio indicates the others as they enter to Neb, and seems more interested in joining with Laure and Griffin.

(Emilio) Prince Gosuin will let us know that he is ready, let's meet some of the others in the meantime, shall we?

Entering the Déambulatoire is a rather young and quite attractive young man who follows closely behind Jerome. He stands just a little bit shorter than Jerome, at 1.80 meters. His light blonde hair is pulled into a small ponytail resting upon his right shoulder, and his blue eyes look about in curiosity.  He appeared to be dressed rather casually, wearing a shirt in a dark gray v neck styled sweater with a pair of red pants and a pair of fine black shoes.

Christopher rolls his eyes exasperatingly at the 9000th correction of himself calling Lyle just plain simple 'Lyle' instead of tagging on his supposedly legitimate title. “Primogen, Regent, Prince. Hell, he could be Major Shovelhead of Shittown for all I care.” He lets out a soft grumble, apparently getting just a little annoyed with the repeated corrections thrown at his face. “I'm neither denying his titles or status, nor am I going to say I believe a two-faced troll like him has acquired them. I'll get the truth out of him whenever he gets his ass back in town. Somehow.”

He sends a sidelong glance at Corinna, that smirk once again curling the corners of his mouth. “Though if you encounter him before I do, I still count on you to pass along my message!”
Noticing Claudia's distraction, Chris turns slightly to see who she greeted with that friendly smile and wave combination. His eyes fall on the Arab and his companion, observing both passively before turning back to Claudia. “Friend of yours? I'm hurt, I thought I was the only one for you.”

Jerome Lehin steps inside as if nothing, giving a look everynow and then to the man that is walking with him. Gregory is quick to notice them both, give a look at the Prince to had his silent permission, and sign them over to come in Gosuin's room. Jerome obeys without an hesitation, gives a slight wave at Claudia and at Laure as he pass through, fairly friendly. He probably did not notice other looks.
The Prince sits back in his chair with a jaded look, but he observes those he can, not really curious but certainly semi-annoyed. He makes a slight gesture to let them know they can, indeed, come in. The Toreador Primogen stands behind, slightly to the side, and lets them do what they must. The Prince speaks with a similar jaded expression than his demeanor indicates.

(Gosuin) Mr Lehin, I have heard from your sire and from Mrs Nolveaux that they have gone the extra mile to obtain an Embrace right for you... You are lucky to have such caring kindred around you.

While he enters, Jerome makes a slight but very polite bow, even looking down a moment, and indicates Felix.
(Jerome) Indeed I am very lucky, My Prince. My apologies for abusing your time, but I would like to introduce you Felix Sommier, my Childe. He will be a great addition to the City.

After he had worded this, Jerome Lehin steps slightly aside to let Felix ask for the Word of Acceptance, as rehearsed.

Prince Gosuin is a fairly charismatic, he could impose himself with just one words and forces admiration through his mere presence, but it's not forced. He is known to rule through admiration and respect, concertation and negociation than pure brute domination. He doesn't need to prove himself and it shows.

Claudia gives a death glare, probably far less impressive than Corinna's, when Chris mentions Lyle's titles (fake or true ones). She is quick to change the subject.

(Claudia) That's Emilio, and the person next to him is his Childe. I am unsure how he obtained an Embrace right... It's also fairly clear she doubts the Setites even obtained said right. The Tremere makes a pronunciation effort. "Neb-uau" is his name.

He openly looked to Claudia and Laure as Jerome passed by, following his sire towards the group of three kindred. He listens carefully.

Auspex 2:

Once Jerome steps aside, Felix steps forward and gives a rather proper bow, and while his head is lowered speaks to Gosuin.
"My Prince, I, Felix Sommier, vow to uphold these traditions:

I shall not reveal my true nature to those not of the blood.

I shall rule my own domain as I will, and not challenge another's rule within their domain.

I shall not sire another without the permission of my elder.

Should I sire another, I shall be accountable for them until they are released.

I shall honor another's domain, and present myself before entering.

I shall not destroy another of my kind, for that right belongs only to my elder."

He pauses for a moment, as if trying to recall what else he should say.

"I humbly ask for your word of acceptance, my Prince."

Once finished, he keeps his eyes upon the ground as he remains bowing, waiting.

The Prince's stare is slightly oppressing, even if Felix can't see it he surely can feel it. After an instant, the stare is gone.
(Gosuin) Very well. Acceptance granted, Felix. Be sure to continue training and learning with your sire, and certainly with Primogen Darvault, the Primogen of your clan.

He says so pointing to Gregory, who nods, seemingly pleased with what he heard. The Prince gives a look behind him to look at Darvault and make sure he knows he's adressing him.
(Gosuin) I've seen Griffin pass by, please let him know about the boons which were used for you both to allow this little game.

At the "both", he glances at Jerome, who nods, apologetic. With a little less commanding demeanor, the Prince smiles and even gives a fairly sincere advice.
(Gosuin) You may go. Stay safe.

Seemingly out of habit more than anything else, Felix released a breath. He raised his head and stood fully. He gives a nod at Gosuin's advice and upon being allowed to leave he turned to Jerome with a slightly confused look. He stepped away from Gosuin and leaned in close, speaking in a rather hushed tone.

Jerome:

Jerome walks out, wording (but not saying it out loud) a thank you to both the Prince and Gregory Darvault. The Mandataire gets a bit closer to hear, and nods, but only answers once they are far enough to be able to answer his childe.
Felix, Auspex 1, enhanced sense hearing:

The Toreador takes seat at one of the tall tables and sit at it as if nothing, inviting Felix to sit.
(Jerome) See, it was fairly easy, right?

The expression on the young Toreador's face was still a bit uncertain, but he followed Jerome and listened. once the other sat at the table, he gave a quick look around before he sat next to the other.

"I suppose so. I was so nervous that I'd forget something," he admitted.

Seated, he took the chance to look around at the other gathered individuals, whom he all assumed to be kindred. He paused for a moment before he turned his head to Jerome once again.

"Is that Monsieur Griffin, over there with the notebook?" He asked, keeping the tone relatively quiet, but easy enough for anyone to overhear.

Jerome nods and crosses his arms, trying to act like a mentor, then smiles, far more genuine as a friend.
(Jerome) The Prince has seen fairly worse. Oh, Alicia's presentation was so worth it....

He gives a glance at Griffin, and back at Felix.
(Jerome) Jean-Pierre Griffin, yes, the Tremere Harpy. Speaking of Alicia's, he took his sweet time to humiliate her sire for being so.. misinformed.

He was obviously thinking of another word, but held his tongue.

He gave a nod, recalling the previous discussions regarding the individual in question. Felix returned his attention to Griffin, curiosity within his eyes.

"I didn't know that the harpy you mentioned was the same man I know. I've fixed a few pieces for him over the last year." he then looked back to Jerome.

"Maybe I'll say hello to him later, once he doesn't seem so busy."

Turns to Emilio.

Emilio walked Neb to Griffin and Laure Nolveaux.
(Jean-Pierre) So this is the one you chose, hm?

The Tremere spoke with a certain disdain, taking a couple of notes more. Laure takes her time to observe Neb, then nods.
(Emilio) Yes indeed. Mrs Nolveaux, Mr Griffin, this is Neb-uau, my childe.

Laure acknowledges the name with a slight bow of the head.

Corinna joins in with Claudia's glare of doom, though she seems to be more practiced in giving it. At first, it looks like a cross between Griffin's pre-facepalm expression and her own calm disdain when Christopher gives voice to his obvious disregard of the Regent, but when he speaks to her about the 'message', it turns into a full-blown evil eye that would have any medieval clergy call for the Inquisition.
"I can assure you that your ... hm, message, will be passed along to Regent Kersten, Monsieur, even if not in the manner you wished for."
Her voice is politely cold, as if she is talking to a toddler who needs to be explained things threefold, but at her next sentence, it turns to ice.
"However, I think we can come to agree on the fact that further ... physical contact between the two of us is entirely unnecessary, except if I have need to invoke a ritual upon you. Entirely for your benefit, of course."
The Librarian smiles politely, a smile that is probably the first thing a young Tremere is taught after the Embrace - just enough politeness not to be offending, and just enough malicious intent shimmering through to actually be offending. Griffin would be proud.

Claudia gives a look full of questions to Corinna when a message and physical contact is mentioned. She doesn't say a word however, not wanting the Tremere Evil Eye to extend to herself as well. She does give a glance at Christopher then lets out a slight sigh. She tries her best to talk about something else.
(Claudia) I'm afraid we can't help but find a pattern between the people the Regent associates himself with.. In private. Now if only his private matters did not affect us in kindred society..

Jerome seems surprised to hear Felix knew Griffin as a mortal. But then considering Felix's job, it's logical.
(Jerome) So how is he with mortals? I hope it won't be a hinder..

When Neb-uau addresses the two kindred, both give a glare at him. Laure seems slightly more comprehensive, certainly due to the Setite's beautiful voice and nice first impression, but Griffin's could turn someone into stone. The Tremere puts his pencil into his notebook and closes it, before standing.
(Jean-Pierre) There is no doubt in my mind that the Serpents have much to say. The pleasure is all yours. If you'll excuse me..

Laure gives a slight smile to Griffin as he addressed her only when excusing himself, and he walks towards Jerome. Once he is far away enough, Laure indicates both Emilio and Neb can sit. She speaks with a softer and probably more melancholic voice.
(Laure) Typical Mr Griffin.. He seems to be in a fairly bad mood, but you shouldn't address your elders until they have shown interest in you. Manners, manners. So, I have hear you had nothing to do with any of the different attacks that happened during the last few weeks ?
(Emilio) Mme Nolveaux, why would you believe so? Our little home has always been strong allies to the local kindred. Not like a certain.. Business spoiler.

Emilio obviously refers to the Giovanni and how they attacked Ventrue interests. Laure gives a glance as Darvault leaves Gosuin and walks towards the exit of the deambulatoire.
(Laure) Mhm. I believe Prince Gosuin is ready to hear from you.

Griffin gets closer to Jerome and Felix. Jerome is about to stand in respect to greet properly, but the Tremere signs he should sit.
(Jerome) Good ev-
(Jean-Pierre) What were you thinking, mr Lehin?

The Harpy doesn't raise the voice but he does sound pretty angry, even if he keeps the very formal language. Jerome sits when he hears the question, and Griffin sits as well, giving a quick glance at Felix.
(Jerome) My embrace choice has nothing to do with you..
(Jean-Pierre) oh please, you didn't think of the consequences at all, did you ? And you, how in the world did you get talked into this?

Neb-uau looks properly chastised at the rebuke and awaits Emilio to take him to the Prince.
