There's a bug with the bank account section of the dialogue. Whenever you phone and ask for money, you always get $100, reagrdless of how much you ask for. To make things worse you actually lose the full amount of money from the account.

I checked the haven_phone.dlg file and found the source of the problem. G.Bank_Send =100 for all three dialogue options.

Speaking of the bank account, do I actually get any interest on the money there if I wait before withdrawing it?

I have already found and fixed this problem.

Interest. Yep, right... let's do a few calculations. For 5000 you can't expect more'n 3% per anno. That's 150$. In one year. How long does the Blooodlines story take? A month? Two? So with the maximum account and 2 months for the story you can get $25 in interest, if you leave all the money until after the bloodhunt.

I was just checking if there was any reason to not immediately withdraw all the money. Since there isn't, I suggest changing the dialogue options to $1000, $2000, and $3000. That way you can take it all out with 2 transactions max.

My first thought about rerieving the money from your account was placing ATM mashines (with the soul of his dead wife -he was so gentle when he pushed my buttons...) in the hubs. That's why I choose these numbers in the first place. And to be honest I don't want the player to get it all at once. If you did you could build a maxed out character from Akeems books before even going to Mercurio.

There is nothing stopping you from doing it now, except how tedious it is. Order money, travel to Santa Monica, travel back to haven, order more money, keep repeating.

You could also reduce the amount of money that dots in Resources give to the player. If you give only $100 per dot and at the same time increse cost of books by 20% so the base cost is 300, that would balance everything out.

3 freebies worth of Resources would give $300, which would be equivalent to 30 XP. That is the same benefit you'd get from spending the 3 freebies directly on abilities. Then you could just give the money to the player at the end of character generation and wouldn't need a bank system.

Not really. There is only alimited number of books you can buy from Akeem. So resources only allow you to buy the books sooner, not learn more.
But 1000 per dot is probably too much. Perhaps I should give $250 per dot, and allow to withdraw 250 or 500 from the bank in one go.
That allows to buy some books early in the game, or save money to buy better weapons or armor as soon as they are available.

Resource background says it gives $300 per dot and the phone conversation is built around that, but it actually only gives $250 per dot, so you generally can't withdraw all your money and with 1 dot youcan't withdraw anything at all.

Why not make parts of money available after reaching new maps (Downtown,...)? Either divide the whole sum, or one dot for SM, one for Downtown,... Where doeas ti say you have to be able to get it all at once?

Fixed. Forgot to change it in the initializing file. (tutorial.py, def finishCreation(): if G.Back_Res >0: G.Back_Res *=250300)
