 two Bugs in 1.3

Hi,

First, nice job. I did find the blood loss every few minutes a bit annoying, but thats just me, so I changed it to every 20min or so.

Bug the first: In the B-Raited Writer quest I successfully got the screenplay and the info on the vamp in Santa Monica, but the screenplay did not show up in my inventory. Also it was now impossible to speak with Hatter even when I when back a couple of saves to try it again. It's as if the quest just disappeared.

Bug the second: In the Model Citizen quest as soon as I enter the Hotel the quest fails saying I botched it because I was noticed.

I don't want to continue because between these two quest we're looking at 6-7 xp lost.

The second bug : have you entered the hotel in the stealth position ?

I havent entered the hotel, main door, in stealth but that should not make a difference as you haven't gotten upstairs to the apartment yet. It didn't require that in vanilla but I can try it. Regardless it shouldn't work that way.

Sorry, I can't tell you anything on these issues. I never touched any of the files involved in these quests.

For the hatter quest: If your inventory is full, new items are dropped to the floor. If that is not the problem, you can spawn the screenplay using the console. Enter: "give item_g_hatters_screenplay" without the quotes.

For the Tawni quest: If you enter the hotel in stealth mode, there is a small (about 10 I think) chance to be noticed. If I remember right, this is even in vanilla. So you probably just were unlucky this time.
I know Wesp changed something for this quest, but only for version 6.8 0r 6.9, so that can't have an effect on CE.

Thanks for the help guys.

It looks as though the first problem with the Hatter screenplay was about a too full inventory. I went in, dropped a couple of items and the character "turned on" and became available to interact with again.

The second problem of getting into the hotel without tripping the fail because you were noticed keeps happening no matter what I do.

Thats strange, when I beat CE 1.2 I played the Tawni quest and had no issues with sneaking, of course if I was seen it would botch the quest but it wasn't "Pre-Botched" like it is for you. And since Childe didn't touch that quest for CE 1.3 I can't think of why it's doing that. Did you by any chance enter, get seen, leave to try again and accidently saved it, or it auto-saved and thats what your using?

Or have you never gone into the apartment and the quest is already failed?

No I went back a couple of saves (I save relatively often), and the first time I played through the game I was able to complete the mission. It was the vanilla edition though. It doesn't matter, probably just a random thing and I was able to do everything else.

In any case I've played it through a couple of times now and I think this it for me. I hope they end up making another, it was was a pretty decent RPG.
