Can't access TFN features

I installed the unofficial patch, TFN 1.3, and the TFN fix, but can't play the game. The TFN logo comes up upon starting the game, and the new clan icons appear in place of the classic clan icons, but I don't have the option to play anything but the standard clans. The story also doesn't seem to vary at all from the original bloodlines.
I am playing on a computer recently upgraded from Win 8 to Win 10. HELP?

I moved this thread into the TFN section instead of the CE.

First off, you don't want to install the UP or any other patches with TFN, which makes me think you might've installed some other stuff too. My suggestion would be to start over with a clean install of Bloodlines 1.0 vanilla, with nothing installed. Then install 1.3 on top of it, then install 1.3.1 on top of that.

After you've done that, I would copy/paste these files from UP 9.4 over to your Bloodlines install.

Make sure to right click on your desktop shortcut and click on the compatibility tab, and select...

I uninstalled VTMb and reinstalled it with the mod and hotfix only. I cannot find a copy of the UP 9.4 in any form other than an executable file that installs the patch, so I don't know how to get the files from the patch you mention to copy to the installed folder (unless it would work to just give the patch the wrong folder to install to to have it create the files).
The shortcut created is still called Bloodlines, it is not changed to The Final Nights (I don't know if I am just meant to F2 the name or if this is a sign of another issue).
Finally, when I open the properties to the shortcut there is no compatibility tab, just General, Web Document, Security, Details, and Previous Versions. Any other suggestions are gratefully accepted.

When you install UP 9.4, just install it to a blank folder somewhere, then extract those files I mentioned and overwrite the ones in the Bloodlines folder.

I'm not sure why you can't see the compatibility tab when you right click on the desktop icon. That's strange. You should still be able to play it without compatibility turned on, you may not see the starting movies when you first start the game.
Try the above suggestion and let me know if it works for you. Worst case scenario, you can wait for Dec. 31st and play 1.4 which will already have this stuff fixed.
