Movies:

1: Kindred Embraced

2: Lost Boys

3: Interview with a Vampire

Video Games:

1: Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines

2: The Witcher

3: Vampire the Masquerade Redemption

Kindred Embraced is a TV show that was baised off Vampire the Masquerade so its not really a movie. It was only a season long due to the lead actor's death. So I consider it a twelve hour movie.

The Witcher is not really about vampires but has them in it (you accaully can sleep with four vampire chicks at once *kinky*). You play as Geralt a Witcher (Which is a monster slayer) its is a very dark role playing game with atleasy sixty five hours of gameplay. After I got done with Bloodlines I was searching for years for another game that could come close to how it drew me in, I can say The Witcher did just that. I highly suggest you try it out if your PC can handle its High Requirments (If not it is comming out to Xbox 360 and PS3 this winter).

Ohh, Kindred the Embraced is soooooo 90's ! But it's a good show. Well, budget was not exceptional, and like you said, the death of the main actor kind of killed the series, but it's fine !
But sad I am that Malkys and Tremere are not in the series. And that idea of "if I drank the night before I can stay in the sun".. thingy..

Have you considered poking around the cartoons and comics around vampires ?

It annoys me when people break the coveted rule of sunlight burning vampires, but then, it's also a lot easier on the actors when you don't have to shoot all the time at night. Still, Kindred: The Embraced was an interesting little show...I don't think they made the Nosferatu hideous enough, but that probably goes back to the budget problem. Personally, if I ran into a budget problem of not being able to dress up a Nosferatu, I'd take a page out of Murnau's book and make him a sinister figure shrouded completely in darkness.

Oh, I have nice tutorials on how to desguise yourself as a proper Nosferatu (either movie like or LARP).
That's what I get for being a cosplayer Smile

Would you like some links ? It is also quite cheap if you have a good washer

Here you go. It says zombie, but vampires and zombies are the same in essence... And we are talking Nosferatu.

Do not mind the sound, and yes I know it is in french, but it's easy to understand. The idea is to hydratate the skin, put some liquid latex on the skin, stick some paper tissu (or even toilet paper if you are really cheap) so it stick to your skin and creates peeling and rotten skin... then with some fundation and clown white and black make up.. and fake blood if the character is wounded Smile

this one is about getting badly healed skin (actually they talk about being burned). latex + cotton + latex + drying + make up (you can add some red and black to make ip look more rotten)... Texture rulz

You could also create prostetics, but that ask for crafty hands and many tools.

About the hair.. You can use a bald wig and then use the two techniques above to create something in the skull Smile

Edit : Of, i almost forgot : Coffee works wonder on cotton and paper napkins Wink

Here is another new one.. Pizza pasta works wonders Smile

(they explain they used two fake bloods, one more liquid, sugary and the other very very red ^^)

From her mannerisms all the way down to the inflections in her voice, Kirsten Dunst must have rehearsed with a full-grown woman who she mimicked because her whole performance dripped with the kinematic conceits of adulthood. I don't think Kirsten was implicitly aware of the ingenuity her preadolescent faculties lent to her performance, but to her credit, she must have been able to intuit, at least ostensibly, the validity of the acting of the woman she copied. Thank God, Kirsten had a good example. I must say, every time I watch, "Interview with a Vampire" I am no less impressed with her excellent performance than the very first time I saw this movie.

After listening to the introduction of the Zombie video, I would pay to hear a French person to say, "zombie" everyday. lol!

It's funny the way the accent dictates the pronunciation of the word, making it sound so cute.

I always liked 'Kindred: The Embraced' despite its flaws, and differences from the VtM rules. You have to accept that sometimes budget limitations dictate certain changes or omissions, especially on a TV show (movies usu. have a bigger budget). It would be hard to explain Malkavians to non-gamers, and they didn't have the special effects budget to do justice to the Tremere. So both clans were dropped. I didn't like it, but I still watched the show.

FOX wouldn't know a good show if it bit them on the ass. I still haven't forgiven them for canceling 'Firefly'. Showtime (cable channel) was in talks to pick up 'Kindred: The Embraced' and make new episodes, but the death of the lead actor (Mark Frankel, who played Prince Julian Luna) put an end to that. Just think if it came out today... networks would be only too eager to pick up a vampire-themed show, to cash in on the recent popularity of vampires. I just wish I didn't have to thank the 'Twilight' movies for at least some of that popularity. Rolling Eyes
