| When I go to click the "autorenew disciplines" button in the options it's not clickable and it gives me some blah-dee-blah about toggles that I don't understand. But not being able to hold protean until I run out of blood is seriously cramping my style. Is there a fix or workaround for this? | |

| Nope, the 'auto-renew disciplines'-feature was deactivated in CE because it's somehow broken (No, I'm sorry, I don't know why or how it broke). I'm afraid you'll have to stick to manually renewing the disciplines, but since they really last long it shouldn't be that much of a problem. | |

| I disabled the auto-renew feature because I found out through extensive testing that when you used it, the discipline would last 150% longer. Example: If you used a discipline that was supposed to last 20 seconds, it would, be then auto-renew would kick in and it would last 30 seconds per activation, which could be exploited in the game. Hence, it was disabled... I even tested this with Bloodlines 1.0 and 1.2 and go the same result. Sorry | |

| Me either, which is probably why it wasn't disabled until CE 1.2. Since I never used it I didn't know it was broken, lol. | |

| Is there some way to re-enable it or am I just gonna have to uninstall? Because not having it is a dealbreaker for me on this mod. I really can't be bothered to be constantly hitting the button in the name of "game balance." | |

| 8people is right, yes it still uses blood, it's just the timing is wrong. Yes you can disable it, here's how... - Open up Windows Explorer - Go to your Vampire directory (C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\Vampire if you have retail CDs) - Once your in the \Vampire\ directory, go to \Vampire\Resource\ - Find the file called optionssubgameplay.res and open it with notepad - You will see 2 entires, AutoDisc and DamageFloaters - Under AutoDisc, turn "Enabled" to "1" instead of "0" - Save the file, and it will be available to choose (not grayed out) next time you open the game Have Fun! Cheater... HAHA JK | |

| It always takes the same amount of blood across disciplines, so be prepared to have to feed a lot more often I re-enabled it in my game as well, I tend to use disciplines 'per scene' rather than timed like pnp (I blame it on running V:tM games more than getting a chance to play them) so I automatically hit F8 when I'm leaving an area for nothing more than going to my players "Right, you feel yourselves coolling off, X your claws retract back into the skin, Y you feel your enhanced muscles relax as the blood within is burnt" | |

| Would you also happen to know how to disable the run-walk shift toggle? I set shift as my use key (yes, unusual config, deal with it) since I use the arrow keys to move. So I keep accidentally triggering walk mode and then not being able to switch it back, even when I deselect shift as the use button. | |

| Changing the "auto walk" or "toggle walk/run" is easy. Go to the \vampire\cfg subdirectory in your bloodlines folder and open autoexec.cfg with notepad. There you will find the entries alias run "-speed;bind SHIFT walk" alias walk "+speed;bind SHIFT run" bind SHIFT walk alias go "+forward;bind ALT stop" alias stop "-forward;bind ALT go" bind ALT go You can either completely delete them, if you don't want these features, or bind them to another key. Just be careful not to bind them to a key that is already used for something else. The first block alias run, alias walk is for the toggle. The second one alias go, alias stop for the autowalk. - | |

| Excellent. I like the mod overall so far, there's just some fiddly mechanic issues. | |

| Can be awkward when changing the mechanics alters changing personal setups, there's usually very little room in modding in ensuring there's an interface that allows for it. Especially in a restrictive engine like Bloodlines uses, they've not been developed with an eye towards expansion and being custom friendly like a lot of other programs. | |

| Yeah, I figured. I'm really freakin' picky about my interface, too, so it's kind of a bitch. At least people are pretty good about answering question threads and all. | |

| Yes I've changed a lot of keys for my personal use, too. That's the advantage we modders have. We know where to look if we want to change things. - | |
