In the new CE version, there will be DJs in the clubs, so you can select, what music is to be played there.
Shall the DJ get a tip, when you ask him to change the music?

Edit: How much do you think is appropriate? Pleas post your suggestions.

Sounds like a good idea to me, maybe like a dollar or five bucks or something, I wouldn't make it much.

This may not even be a good idea, but you could set it so that after so many requested songs and money spent, you gain humanity, like when dancing after so much time. Just an idea, and maybe not even a good one, I just thought of it, lol.

$5 sounds good to me. Even with the online college, money is still not a problem.

It adds to the RP feel of the game. You don't have to tip a DJ IRL, but you might.

Find out who voted no and ban them.

(That's a joke, of course)

Childe of Munster, actually in Bulgaria, most of the DJ won't even notice you if you doesn't offer them some money Razz 5 bucks sounds too much to me. If you are not playing an inspection/haggle character, money won't be that easy. 1-2 or bucks might be better.

Maybe have an option?

Perhaps if you don't pay enough he'll play a random track instead? Laughing

May be an idea for a later version. And it makes the dialog file harder to manage. I want to keep that simple.

I knew there was a reason I never go to Bulgaria.

Heck, I was joking. It's not on the top of my vacation list, but I have no doubt I would enjoy visiting Bulgaria.

1-2 dollars is fine (it's a tip, not buying him a drink ev every minute or so).

Is there a way to make him change the music, but "he" chooses which music ? That would be the response without a tip, no ?

Claudia,
it is possible, but would involve rewriting the code and make the dialog files harder to handle for user's custom music. So the answer is: yes, but not for CE 1.4

If DJs get tip every time someone asks them for different song, they would soon have status of Donald Trump... king

That’s a good idea. However, the implication can be made that the DJ’s are de facto blood dolls who, for their infatuation of a highly-romanticized immortality, willingly change songs for you free of charge. It’s like the DJ’s lead themselves on just because they know you’re a vampire, and you’re taking advantage of it by getting free songs.

O.K.
For CE 1.4, I'll make the tip a dollar. It can be changed later, if necessary. Let's see what people say after the release, when more experience and opinions on this topic are available.

P.S. I'll unsticky this topic for now, so the space at the top of the forum can be used for more important stuff.
