I am not sure if this bug has been brought to light. I currently am playing version 1.4 with the patch. So far I have done every "quest" prior to going into the Haunted Hotel for Therese. These quest I have done includes:

THE PAIN OF BEING MERCURIO
SURF'S UP
Doing all the jobs for Kirkpatrick (A BOUNTY FOR THE HUNTER,JUMPIN' THE BAIL)
Saving the dying girl to later become your ghoul (TRICK OR TREATMENT)
Kill the "eastern vampire" for Bertram Tung's ghoul (THE HUNTED HUNTER)
BLACKMAIL(the part where you black mail the cheater in the hospital)
ORACLE
THINNED BLOOD
DAYDREAM BELIEVER
BLOODY MESS(not yet collected payment)

Then I precede to do

MAIN QUEST: THE GHOST HAUNTS AT MIDNIGHT
MAIN QUEST: SLAUGHTERPIECE
MAIN QUEST: BAD BLOOD
MAIN QUEST: SIBLING RIVALRY
MAIN QUEST: EXPLOSIVE BEGINNING (PART 2)

It is at this point I go to collect the money for Bloody Mess, I enter the apartment collect the money access the computer read on the emails(not doing any college stuff)... then I go back down access the mailbox again and once again collect the money for the SAME quest. Then i get in the cab and move on to downtown.... I know you only receive 150$(x2 is 300$) for this quest but I figured I would address the fact that you can get doubled paid for it not sure if its because of the way I did the quest in the order mentioned above(I believe they are listed in the exact order I did them) or if this bug is due to my Clan being Tremere or history of Tremere being Eldrich Prodigy. I figured I would give a heads up for those who would want this bug to be fixed( those who do not like the slightest "cheating" for lack of better phrasing this)

If I wasn't busy with TFN I would troubleshoot this issue with you but as things are, I'm slammed. I'm sure Malkav will troubleshoot this after he see's it, he hates bugs as much as I do. lol

I really can't imagine how this could be a double payment for the werewolf blood. According to the python script, the blood needs to be in the mailbox for the money to be spawned. And after that, in the same step of the function, the blood is removed.

After the last main quest in the first area I go to collect the money from the mail box, I go upstairs to collect my stuff before moving on to the next area via Cab and check the mails on the computer. I read the email about the payment being sent that I should collect it. Out of real life habit on my way out of the place I check my mail box again and there it is the payment I already collected. I hope this clears up what I tried to say, sorry if I misunderstand your post and unnecessarily repeating myself.

Yes that is mentioned above I believe, where you blackmail the doctor after checking his computer. And I collected that fee immediately. Look this bug is small and if its going to cause a lot of trouble to fix do not worry about it. I was planning later on tonight to reroll my Tremere Eldrich Prodigy and see if I can not get it to repeat. If there is anything I can do while playing my side to figure out whats causing the dbl payment if it happens again Id be glad to help. Sorry that my first few post in here has been about a small bug, I am just a little OCD sometimes... Anyway I am going to finish playing through a few parts of my current Tremere btw LOVE the changes, if there is anything I can do or use to help further when I reroll to see if I cant get a repeat of this please let me know. Ill await your response and if this bug is too small to care for(blame my ocd for bringing it up) just let me know its no big deal. My bad, I missed it first read through

Probably be a check of the scripts attached to the email to see if anything specific is there... It's possible to be a one off bug due to engine being skippy like that.

I've noticed other points of the game will repeat sometimes on a particular runthrough but not consistant with each game.

Malkav and I are both OCD so I'm glad you reported this bug. We hate bugs, almost as much as Monday morning...
