 (Fixed) Samedi Downtown

Umm.. Help!

Ok, one major problem and one minor one:

I can't get access to the La Croix's tower through the sewers, the entrance is blocked by wire and well, Chuck certainly isn't letting me go see him... So I'm kinda stuck where I can't continue the main story...

Also, I did the quest for my sewer Haven and was told I was given access to it yet I didn't get a key for it and couldn't get in......

I noticed the haven thing too and I had to zone into a different map then zone back and I could get in. He should've handed you a key, I'll look into this.

I'll also have to look at the Samedi sewer issue, I could've swore I had that working. Thanks

I think I might know why the sewer entrance to La Croix is blocked, I also noticed that I can take a Taxi but can't use the sewer paths in downtown, so I'm assuming the two are related...

seriously a samedi taking a taxi is just odd...

Not when you use "Mask of a Thousand Faces" (PnP game; 3 dots in Obfuscate). Of course, Troika seems to have left that little ability out of Bloodlines. Smile

Then again, the ability to shock an L.A. cabbie is nothing to sneeze at. hehe

Having Mask of a Thousand Faces would've been awesome as hell. If there was a way I could create a discipline to change the character from the Samedi model to, let's say a Cop or Hooker, I would be so ON that! Then I would take away the Masquerade Violation sensor temporarily, that would be so sweet.

This really bothers me because I played as a Samedi before release and finished SM and the cab wasn't there -AND- I could use the sewers. I had to make some changes to the Python files and make it so Bertram gives the sewer map to Samedi instead of Nosferatu, and it worked. Guess I'll be playing it all again.

Sorry, I might need to clarify, I did receive the map from Bertram and I did go through the sewers to Downtown but when I reached downtown I couldn't go back through the sewers to SM and the taxi was outside La Croix's tower

Ahhh ok that changes things, so it's an issue within the downtown.py file, not santamonica.py, that's why I couldnt' find it. Damn you Nezumi!! HAHA

Ok I'll play up until downtown.

Nezumi, Thank you for your help, it was indeed broken both the Cab, LaCroix's Tower entrance, and instant access to the Samedi Haven upon doing Akeem's Quest. Before it was setup so that when Akeem gave you the sewer haven key, you had to zone to a different map then zone back to the LA_Hub for it to be open. So what I did was change it so the script runs immediately after dialogue ends unlocking it immediately. It worked out great!

This thread (both problems) are fixed.

Cool, too bad I'll have to wait for the full release to play any further with Samedi though..

Because this was a game breaking issue I will need to re-release the updated "Fixed" one. I've also been modding it since I released it last week so there's a ton of new SM Haggle dialogue options that weren't there before. I making Haggle (Bribery) a 4th option that functions very similiar to Persuasion, Intimidation, and Seduction.
