Which clans are your absolute favorite from Vampire the Masquerade? You can pick as many as you want!

It's kind of sad thought

Many bloodlines are missing (Nagaraja, other Gangrel Bloodlines like Arhimane, Blood Brothers, Harbinger of Skulls, Kiasyd...)


For me, it depends. I do like Malkavians, because they are without norms and can be psychologicaly very interesting. I do begin to like the plotty Tremere and their.. plots. Gangrel and Brujah are closer to what I like as a human being... Toreador are ravagés..
Actually, there's something in each clan (at least the 13-ish original ones) that makes them interesting. But then there are bloodlines for everything and nothing (I think the Ebony Kingdom was a mistake...).

I always choose one of them this time i decided to choose Nosferatu

Well, being honest, I really like clan Ventrue. From the roleplaying point of view, that is. I've read myself so deep into the material of this clan, I don't think I can get them out of my head. Ever.
(Besides, they're good for surprises. You never know what they'll do once the doors are closed and nobody's around anymore... example? Just take a look here and you'll know what I mean. Never guessed he would do karaoke. )
Concerning Bloodlines, I love Gangrel. Combine Fortitude and Protean and you get a kickass fighter. Even though I love Persuasion (such a useful, useful skill!), sometimes I only want to poke evil guys in the eye with claws.

Yeah, I'm interested in why people chose their Clan, whether it was based on RP reasons or game mechanics reasons or a combination (I'm not making a judgment, by the way; it's a game so any reason for picking a favorite Clan is as good as any other).

I would play a Gangrel in a PnP WoD game, because from an RP perspective, I like their connection to animals and their acceptance (sort of) of the Beast. It seems to me Gangrels are the Clan which acknowledges that The Beast is as much a part of being Kindred as having 2 legs is.

Last time I played CE with a Gangrel, the only Discipline I maxed out was Fortitude

I'm currently playing a Malk and finding it very fun, might be my new "favorite", but I voted Brujah, as they just lend themselves to my play style. Z was right when he said to me a few weeks back, bet you like Brujah. It's fun running around with Potence, Celerity and Presence all running at the same time ( even if you are just a tad overpowering ). Most everyone is either cowering, mezzed, or they just can't follow what your doing as you just wallop the tar out of everyone. All the time, with a big evil you know what type of "grin" on your face

BTW, I've been on my comp more that I should have been, as Bloodlines has sucked me back in However, for anyone even remotely interested, the daughter and I passed our black belt exams last evening! This was supposed to happen next week, but the master instructor pulled an Obfuscated sneak exam on us last night instead. 2 hours later we we're both pretty beat, but feeling good! Ceremony and new belts handed out next Thursday evening, pictures to follow at that time in the "who are you" thread. If you can't figure out who is who...I'll be the tall guy with very little hair

That's great, man. Nice you and your daughter have something like that to do together. My daughter does synchronized swimming, which I theoretically could do, since her club has a master (i.e., old people, like Maximus ) program, even for novices, but she'd be totally mortified if her mother did it, let alone her father.

Dude really, I'm so proud of you and your daughter, you guys are a real inspiration to my bodybuilding goals. In a way we are similiar in pursuing a hard to obtain goal that most in the world will never know much about. Thats really really awesome!

By the way, did they let you carry your big ass axe in for the exams?

Crap...NO...dang it anyhow...had to kick ass without it and I could have used it Thanks Z EDIT: Almost forgot, bodybuilding...competitive? Regardless, keep at it buddy...we'd make a good team in a brawl...I'll kung some fu on the baddies, and then you can drop a fridge on them or something if their still kicking for good measure ROFL.

HAHA Ya we would!! I haven't gone into any competitions because my body fat % is still a little too high, I've got shitty genetics for that. BUT the muscle is definately there. I'll post some pics in the "Who are you" thread so you can see.

Hey Z, you probably already know this, but if NOT, did you know that Green Tea, is a great natural way to help in reducing body fat? I mean there are faster ways, and naturally there are the "drug ways", but for something that is totally NON-harmful and even beneficial green tea is a great thing Ok, it doesn't taste all that great, without adding sugars...which you probably don't need, so maybe some alternate like Stevia, or a single blossom honey. Both better for you than table sugar ( health wise ) and no chemicals like Sweet & Low, or any of the other non-natural sweeteners.

Good call on the green tea, I'm actually taking EGCG pills right now. It's crushed up green tea extract in a little capsule that I swallow 3 times daily. I've been taking it for a couple weeks but haven't seen much change, I think the jogging, eliptical, and stairmaster is doing a good job though... paired up with ECGC I hope to be leaner in a few months.

Building muscle and keeping it has always been easy for me, it's reducing fat that gets me. Just genetics I guess.

Cool, figured you probably knew already...was just trying to help out! Hey...ever think about possibly replacing jogging, with swimming and or biking perhaps? Jogging long-term is going to play absolute havok with your knees. You won't see it now, but once you get to my age, you'll wish you hadn't done quite so much pavement pounding

Absolutely. I had to go from running/jogging to walking/biking because the knees just aren't as young as they used to be.

Gangrel, first and above all, for their close ties to nature, self-suficiency and understanding of the Beast as a natural part of being Kindred.
Next, the Nosferatu Clan, for wisdom and ability to survive against all odds. And their sense of humor.
And finally, the Tremere. Because they dared into unknown and made it despite severe punishment. And of course for their magical power.
