C.E 1.1 not working.

I have the retail. I even tried doing a fresh install making sure that bloodlines has no patches or mods. then i install it to bloodlines main folder just like 1.0 but all I get is 1.0. hopefully this doesnt happen to 1.2

Sometimes leaving the directory leaves files that should be overwritten but end up not being so.

This is true, that is what must've happened because if you completely got rid of Bloodlines, there's no way you could have CE 1.0 still on there. You need to go into Explorer and delete the \Program Files\Activision folder, thats the only way you can truly know you got rid of everything. I also assume you are using the default directories for everything correct?

So i tried what you guys said and I even downloaded CE 1.2 and theres new music and a different menu but it still says 1.0! im about to give up on your mod dude this sucks i really wanna play so bad:[

Are any other changes present? It could just be saying 1.0 and still have the changes.

Which directory are you installing to? Put the specific path. Did you uninstall version 1.0 prior to installing 1.2?

Damn dude, your computer is jacked up. I would format the whole thing and reinstall your OS. Install Bloodlines, then CE 1.2.

I've exhausted all options with this issue.

well I look at the character screen and there's no new disciplines like blood heal or blood buff. I just tried installing bloodlines then CE 1.2 i'll try again and see whats up.

But you've already done that before and it didn't work. Are you using Steam or Retail CDs?

Edit: Are you installing to the default location or are you making your own install path...

Im using Retail Cd's.

Yes I am installing it to the default location. I uninstalled 1.2 off VTMB and uninstalled VTMB, and I just reinstalled it with no patches or mods and when I went into the game it still said CE 1.0. how would I get rid of everything

Ok then uninstall Bloodlines once again, then go into C:\\Program Files\\ and delete the Activision folder, do you see that?

What\'s happening is, you are uninstalling Bloodlines but some of the old CE 1.0 files are sticking around for some reason. You need to uninstall Bloodlines, THEN delete the C:\\Program Files\\Activision\\ folder to get rid of those old CE 1.0 files.

Then reinstall Bloodlines and check to make sure CE 1.0 is not showing up.

HAHA I was editing my last response while you were submitting yours. Read above your last post to see what I was adding to my response.

But to answer your question, GREAT we are making headway now. Ok AFTER you delete the Activision folder then reinstall Bloodlines (hopefully for the last time).

After you reinstall Bloodlines, go into the game and make sure CE 1.0 DOES NOT appear anywhere, make sure it's the vanilla bare bones 1.0 game.

Great! If it is the original vanilla Bloodlines, then go ahead and install CE 1.2 and you should be set!

JESUS! Reccomending reformatting a computer because a mod won't work is a bit extreme!

Hey I've been working with this confused kid for weeks now, his problem is extreme so I offered an extreme measure.
