The reason why the the gum was removed probably is that it's added content from the plus patch, and Zer0 preferres the base patch.

He might be metal, but copper is a rather soft metal.

What Zer0 changed is probably that you can haggle the price he pays for the steak and red wine.

From my experience I could haggle the price for the red wine but the stake was 100 bucks no matter if I had an economics diploma hanged on my wall.

The amount that Copper pays you is determined by your Haggle feat, however the stake is a flat $100 no matter what.
