PostSubject: Less than Orthodox Tactic, but useful non the less   Wed May 04, 2011 12:03 pm

I was playing TFN trying to think of a character I could make who could easily get blood from others and would never have to worry about hunting and breaking the Masquerade. Well the obvious choice was a character with high Seduction, but then I got to thinking. With the way Haggle and Inspection is setup along with the fact that with a Haggle 10 you literally only have to pay hookers $5 to feed from them freely, this gave me an idea.

Instead of investing in Seduction, if I invest in Haggle and Inspection, the cost to feed from hookers is dirt cheap + they give you a good amount of blood + if you have Inspection you would be finding items to sell left and right to make a crap load of money. So that’s what I built and though I had to hunt at the beginning of the game, later own I had so much money and hookers costs me next to nothing and I never had to hunt again. I just lived on prostitute blood and I was set. I never got a single Masquerade Violation.

Just wanted to share that strategy because it worked really well. Now I can beat the game with Seduction 1 and not worry about feeding in public. Exclamation

lol thats the same way i play right now Smile got haggle on 6 and inspection on 7 at this moment, seduction 1, persuasion 2, and intimidation 5 (yea.. i play Baali.. he HAS to be an evil badass^^). I don't know bout you, but i have a really easy time with ranged weapons.. so i play with lvl 4 Daimoion (it is unarmed based.. plz check again zero^^), rest in Presence. Than i give 1 Rest for the Wicked, a second Infernal Servitor, the rest shotgun blasts and all good so far Smile maybe i go for Obfuscate for sneak missions for the bonus.. Well enough crap talk: Haggle + Inspection rules so far.. only thing i am sorry about is that i couldn't save Therese and Jeanette (Therese survived^^). Don't know how much money i have right now, but last i remember was before warehouse and few sidequests i had over 2000$ + weapons from (god i forgot his name..) Pawn Shop guy.

He sounds like a powerful character, not to mention the automatic XP bonus that all Baali get for any awarded XP over 3. The Baali are just sick if played right. What I like about these new clans is that you can specialize in ranged or melee with just about any character. Like you proved that the Baali can be a ranged character, but with Concordance can also do well as a melee character.

Take a look at Salubri, likewise with Obeah they would be good melee, or with Auspex good ranged. Followers of Set have Apep's Semblance, but Disciplines good for ranged as well. So versatile these new clans.

You know, with $2000 and a high Haggle, you should start dumping XP in Research and buy Akeem's books. You could save ALOT of XP reading his books too! I love you

Yea thats right, i love that, too. Being able to choose if melee or ranged is just great! And yea i know i can save much xp with akeem and thats exactly why i chose haggle + inspection. My thoughts were like: hmm spending xp for disciplines and stats and money for weapons is boring.. what about xp for inspection+haggle+disciplines for weapons and items to sell and the money from it for books? sounds cool.. lets try it!
Also was my chose not to use concordance based on the fact that concordance makes u unarmed.. and i hate unarmed non muscle guys^^ so ranged + lvl 4 Daimoion for lil crowd control and Presence for my enemys def loss.. epic win! ^^

Actually I did a test on Concordance on a character last night and found that the damage is increased when you bump up Melee, not Unarmed.

Hm, I haven't really started a game yet. But from what you are saying here is that you turned haggling and inspection from the least valuable feats to the only important ones.

Not really... Seduction is still extremely useful, especially when you target the Blood Dolls. A Seduction of 10 gives you 100% chance to feed from every Blood Doll in the game, so I wouldnt' call that worthless. Not to mention the other benefits of having Seduction.

I think Haggle and Inspection are more balanced with the other useful Feats now, that's all.

yep i agree with Zer0.. vanilla + CE haggle + inspection = useless, now you can use it for an actual skillbuild so like saving some xp through books for other feats like hacking or intimidation or what else.. you can play with haggle + ins, but without its still about the same..
