 Some observations on first walk through of CE. Traffik- Gone. Soc Leopold Stuck

PostSubject: Some observations on first walk through of CE. Traffik- Gone. Soc Leopold Stuck   Tue Nov 17, 2009 6:49 pm

This is my first walk through of CE. And

1. I think the increase of the disciplines (playing as a Faelike Toreador) makes the game too easy. The Zombie quest in the cemetary is a cakewalk not a white knuckle ride that it usually is. I mention this first because I particularly enjoy this quest...
2. I did not, in all my encounters with 'Oh God!' Fat Larry get the opportunity of attempting the Traffik quest. I nice earner as well as a great way to sharpen ones ranged weapons skills...
3. I have got myself to the end of the Society of Leopod quest - using celerity - and now I am stuck on the bot going nowhere.

I am not a happy little Torrie...

Hmmm, I can take a look at the Faelike History to see if it needs modified. Nothing else you mentioned is something we messed with so I will have to go in and play those parts of the game to see if I get the same problem.

I'll let you know if I find anything out on 2 and 3.

Am plaing a Faelike Toreadore as well, I haven't got very far yet but can have a speed play through to get to those points if it would help at all.


1) I'm a gamer chick, but I don't play powerful characters, so I'll probably still have a stumble at this one Wink

2) I got it the second time I talked to him, when talking to him I went straight to business and you have to buy a weapon from him and not just ammo for him to offer you the quest - from what I remember of playing the game first time.

3) Sometimes the boats in the game have very sensitive triggers. The Elizabeth Dane one usually has trouble triggering if you jump over the point it expects you to jump to, so am guessing the Leopold one has similar issues. All I can suggest in that regard is hit F8 before heading for the boat so you don't overjump where it wants you to go.

Thanks for the advice 8people...

I haven't had time to really jump into these troubled spots yet because I've been busy designing and implementing new content. My apologies, but I well really jump in a check this out when I can. The Parking Garage quest is one of the best in the game so I want to make sure it works.

And I looked at Faelike History last night and I agree it's overpowered. I am overhauling all of the histores because of all the new 1.2 rules anyways so this will get hit as well.

Thanks for the advice I will replay the last section of the Soc Leopold and kill the disciplines before boarding.

As for Traffik I will check on my next run through.

Comments re the strength of the disciplines still stand though.

.... and I still agree with this, Faelike is overpowered and will be changed. I'm going through all of the Histories and rebalancing them with the new disciplines n stuff before release. I may even create a few new ones for Blood Buff.

Probably unrelated, but if you can make the zombie quest easier, it would really be appreciated as well. I've never been able to complete it without celerity playing in vanila. I've recently installed CE1.2 and barely scraped through with a Tremere gratitously using a multiple combo of Trance + Blood Boil + Blood Buff (3). Currently going as a Malk thinking possibly will have to skip or fail that quest.

If you do not have Celerity, it's easier to bring a prostitute to Romero

Yea... I guess the issue is with CE where getting him a prostitute is still available after the zombie run - and I'd like to have that 2xp as well... lol.

But meh, I kinda know it's a little whiney over a small matter. Razz
