| First of all, i have to say that i really love CE. It really gives the game a new and improved feel and is, in my humble opinion one of the, if not THE best mod created for any game i have ever played.
Alas a mod of CE´s size is bound to have some issues. That is sadly unavoidable.
I have recently started a new game with CE 1.4 installed. After pondering for quite a while i decided to play a female Nosferatu. everything was fine during the tutorial, but after entering Santa Monica i noticed several things.
1. Most of the added and/or tweaked NPCs running around in the streets don´t seem to notice me. I can jump around them all night and they will never get scared nor will i get a Masquerade violation unless one of the vanilla NPCs sees me. They are also not picked up by the Nosferatu´s "People that are near and could see me" radar in the upper right corner.
2.It seems that, even if one of the NPCs does notice me it takes a loooong time before i get a Masquerade violation. I was standing in the middle of the street and all hell was breaking loose, and it took around two minutes before the message popped up.
3. Sometimes the obfuscate timer seems to "break". It starts out empty allowing me to stay invisible indefinitely, until i change the area.
I hope that those issues can be fixed to make a great mod even better.

| Hi, first of all, welcome to the forum, and thanks for the compliments. For your questions, I have never really played, or even tested a Nossie. But on the other hand, this is the first time I hear about problems of this kind. And the only new npc in Santa Monica I can think of is the blood doll in front of the Asylum. I do know however, from playing Malks, that sometimes when you reactivate Obfuscate, the timer bar is empty. But from my observations, it still runs when you move. If you stay put, you can keep up obfuscate forever. Or at least until you get into a hunger frenzie and start moving again But I have no Idea what causes it, so I don't know what to do about it. - | |

| Thanks for the fast reply.
I think some ambient NPCs were added by the unofficial patch to fill out the huds a little and make them feel more alive. For example, there seem to be a lot more bums in downtown with CE (the unofficial patch) installed than in the vanilla game. During the "Fun with pestilence" quest where you have to talk to a bum to find brother Kanker you cannot talk to most of them because they are just "decoration".

| I've noticed the lack of NPCs showing on radar with any of the Masquerade violation Clans- either Nossie or Samedi. I think that for some reason, only the NPCs that have been there since the original release show up on it- I've run through clouds of bums and stood right nest to a few of the blood-dolls and hookers in the various hubs and had them not notice me, but then round a corner and have a cop or wandering gang member spot me immediately and freak out. I thing its a bug within the programming of the base game itself, not one in the mod or patches that came since the initial release back in '04. | |

| Then, maybe I should have a look into it. See if Wesp has indded added people for the patch. And if he has, what the difference between these guys and the vanilla folks is. - | |
