| Sorry to prove others wrong, but Auspex could give you hightened smell as well. I'm too tired right now to look up reference, but it does exist. So the nose is not out of the question. | |

| Auspex 1 basically doubles your Perception rate in one sense of your choice. Most use it for hearing and seeing, but many use it for the smell, the taste or the touch. | |

| So can you use it on more than one sense at the same time? | |

| Okay, so... I think I am overlooking the whole vampire physiology then... You have your Blood, you make your dead body move around, and also you can forcebloodly activate all parts of it. Restoring your sight, nose, ears, skin and tongue. Then you can force your dead glands to work again! Then the question is - is it all unconscious (restoring senses and bodily functions using Blood), or you are restoring only those functions that you was aware of or used to in your life? And restoring, say, the ability to have sex or the ability to produce pheromones... I see some dislocations here.
Well if I look at it from Energy (spare me the questions) aspect, you can't produce a new life cuz you've already lost all of you Life force and you are living at the expense of sucked Life force of other creatures, which is bound to their blood, therefore you are gaining it when sucking this fluid in your body or extract it without sucking. -> you can't make cute little babies, even if you force your cells to reactivate and give you sexual arousal and such. | |

| ●Heightened Senses This power sharpens all of the vampire’s senses, effectively doubling the clarity and range of sight, hearing and smell. While her senses of taste and touch extend no farther than normal, they likewise become far more acute; the vampire could taste the hint of liquor in a victim’s blood, or feel the give of the board concealing a hollow space in the floor. The Kindred may magnify her senses at will, sustaining this heightened focus for as long as she desires. At the Storyteller’s option, this may make hunting easier. Vampire: The Masquerade 150 Occasionally, this talent provides extrasensory or even precognitive insights. These brief, unfocused glimpses may be odd premonitions, flashes of empathy or eerie feelings of foreboding. The vampire has no control over these perceptions, but with practice can learn to interpret them with a fair degree of accuracy. Expanded senses come at a price, however. Bright lights, loud noises and strong smells present a hazard while the vampire uses this power. In addition to the possibility for distraction mentioned above, an especially sudden stimulus – like the glare of a spotlight or a clap of thunder – can blind or deafen the Kindred for an hour or more. System: This power doesn’t normally require the use of dice, instead being defined through the Storyteller’s descriptions and the player’s imagination. In certain circumstances, use of this power requires a die roll: for a normal Perception roll (the Storyteller may reduce the difficulty by the character’s Auspex rating), to notice a subject using Obfuscate (see p. 166), or to perceive a threat (the Storyteller privately rolls the character’s unmodified Auspex rating, applying whatever difficulty he feels best suits the circumstances). For example, in the last instance, sensing that a pistol is pointed at the back of the character’s head may require a 5, while the sudden realization that a rival for primogen is planning her assassination may require a 9. This power does not let characters see in pitch darkness, as does Eyes of the Beast (p. 173), but it does reduce difficulty penalties to act in pitch darkness from +2 to +1, and the character may make ranged attacks in pitch darkness if she can hear, smell or otherwise detect her foe.

| Vampires not only have normal senses, they become even better after the Embrace. VtM core rulebook (Rev. Ed.), p. 33: (Concerning the Embrace) “The childe’s senses also hone to an uncanny level, revealing sounds she has never before heard or heeded, tactile stimuli never appreciated with touch, panoplies of color imperceptible to the human eye, and myriad individually distinguishable smells.” So a Kindred's sense of smell is better than a human's, even without Heightened Senses. Doesn't matter that their body is dead... vampires are supernatural creatures. Or as Claudia says, "Shut up it's magic." | |

| Hey Feral, too bad I ran out of femurs for a trusted old dog like you. Here, take a blood popsicle instead. It's A+, with just a hint of vodka. I think, I should sell them large style. Hm, could use ghoul blood... different flavors, like booze or adrenaline... sell them in six-packs, just to make sure everybody gets at least three... *starts wandering off to the research lab, muttering further merchandising ideas to himself* - | |
