| So I just bought a car and I'm seriously thinking of putting a personalized license plate on it. However, I can't make up my mind between Skyrim or Gangrel, and I thought that I'd put it up to you guys to weigh in with your opinions. | |

| Gangrel! I don't know why Skyrim is even in there.. sure it's a great game and all, but i just can't seem to like it.. Oblivion was more fascinating. The really f*cked the leveling system because of those stupid casual gamers.. After just 4 days of playing i reinstalled Oblivion with all my mods and got more hooked in it than in Skyrim.. Maybe it's all because i love playing mages and they removed the coolest feature from Oblivion.. custom creating spells. Well it's a Bethesda game so without mods it is a.. decent game. Hope the modding community will make a mod for custom spells ingame.. maybe i will like it more than.
Anyways: GANGREL > Skyrim

| They fucked the level scaling already in Oblivion. Or did you mean leveling up your character? I like the classless aproach with perks much better than Oblvion's class system and I don't really miss attributes that much either.
Anyway, another vote for Gangrel. If yo uwant to make it personal, you'll also want it to be as unique as possible and there are more Skyrim fans than VtM fans.

| Gangrel will be relevant longer. Cooler, too.
To me, Hipster equates with 'poseur'. Is that just me?

| Wow. I honestly didn't expect such a response. Thanks, guys. I have about two weeks till I make up my mind and pick one, but I figured a little discussion might make it easier for when I finally do. As for why Skyrim, the answer is quite simple: I fucking love that damn game. It is, in my honest opinion, the pinnacle (so far) of the application of a true D&D-style RPG to video game format. And played on PC with mods, the game is literally endless. Everything about it is just so damned perfect. I just wish Bloodlines was as advanced in what all was possible. Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Bloodlines, and it's still my second favorite game, but I can only run through the sewers under Hollywood so many times before I get bored. Hence why I'm setting my table top game in Bloodlines, to try and reinvigorate it for myself. As for Gangrel, well, a very interesting point came to my mind yesterday. This summer shall marke the 15th anniversary of my playing Vampire the Masquerade, and my absolute love for clan Gangrel. I remember the very first time that I flipped through the 2nd edition VtM book and read the description for Gangrel. I was a 15 year old misfit/outsider, and every single fucking paragraph just rang true with me. I haven't turned back yet. Sure, I have other favorite clans, and really, there's things about 'em all that I like (axcept the Legacy of Laibon -- it's just racist, man, to have the same fucking clans, but slap "Africanized" names on 'em), but the Outlanders have always held a very special place in my heart. So which will I choose? YOU DECIDE! (No, not really, but maybe you can help me make up my mind.) | |

| Every paragraph of each clan SHOULD ring.. that's the point of stereotypes (silly americans who put yourselves in boxes-concepts to define yourself..) I say Gangrel because while I recognize skyrim as being an awesome game, I don't think it'll still have awesomeness on it up to fucking twenty years after. Maybe Elder Scrolls ("Elder" hm ? hm ?) seems more "neutral" and still an homage to the whole awesomeness... | |

S'what I meant. [Silly Europeans who have to define themselves by putting down Americans...] For the record, I don't think the USA has any higher percentage of stupid/fat/crazy people than the rest of the world. (Example: Watch Japanese TV.) The problem is that for some reason, we insist on putting our stupidest/fattest/craziest people on TV, for the world to see. (Such as 'Jersey Shore')

| So back to the topic at hand...
I just went to the Idaho Transportation Department's website and checked for myself to see if my two options are still available, and they are. (As is SATAN for some bizarre reason...) But to actually see GANGREL on an Idaho license plate pretty much just made my mind up for me. I think next payday, I will be buying new plates...
(Also, VTM, VENTRUE, BAALI, MALK, TREMERE, VITAE, and GHOUL are all available.)
