Crash during Muddy Quest

Hi all,

I've done most of the Downtown quests and the game is consistently crashing when I enter the warehouse opposite the Last Round for the Muddy quest. I had been there before before activating the required trigger for this part of the quest. I could enter the building no problem; it was just empty.

Can you help? There is no error message. I had an earlier problem with the mod which I solved with a clean install of the base game then the mod. This time the installation is OK.

Hi,

this is the first time I hear of a problem like that. I'll have to look into it, may take a while. Does it happen with different saved games or only with your last one before entering? Maybe the savefile is corrupted somehow.

If I remember right, I've been in there before getting to the right queststate during the beta testing, and it caused no troubles.
If nothing else helps, I'll find out a workaround, so you can get the key and the questlog updated, so you can go on to hollywood.

I've had a bug during Muddy's quest too, but not there.
In Hollywood, you enter the luckee star room to "find muddy", I runned back to the bail bond guy, and couldn't tell him I found Muddy.
I remember that the quest says that even if you have been laid off, you still can get something for finding him, if you are quick enough (so the bail hunter doesn't know before you supposedly tell him).

Is this normal or just my mind playing me tricks?

Claudia, You can't get anything for telling Arthur, that muddy is dead. At the point where you find him and see the murderer escape, the quest is succesfully ended. But you lose the experience for telling him, muddy left Santa Monica, if you wait until he is dead and Arthur gets this fact from the news.
