A prerequisites guide so people can get started if Claudia ever holds it again:
Teamspeak- Teamspeak installed and configured beforehand.
- For the love of god, set it to use push to talk (need to hold a button to transmit). 4 hours of hearing someone type or coughing or having the fan woosh in the background is NOT pleasant.
- Also, voice activation is totally hilarious when your raid leader's girlfriend decides to give him a blowjob under the desk in the middle of your World of Warcraft raid.
- A working microphone. Also configure it beforehand.
- Teamspeak offers a test mode that plays the recorded audio back to you.
- If possible, use a headset with microphone. How else are you going to hear Duncan's smooth Johnny Cash voice in fine detail? But seriously, most average priced headsets offer a directional microphone that record less background noise and more close range sound. Which should be your voice. Once you have the headset, remember to put it above or below your mouth, else you're going to breath in it.
- Join using your Character's name or forum nickname on the channel.
- Once in a server look for a channel name with ctrl+f -> opens a find box. Type in camarilla, first hit usually.
- William is no longer allowed to imitate Claudia's accent.
Fantasy Grounds- Program, you don't need to pay to download it, and Claudia can host a game without you having to pay for it.
- Download and install it beforehand. The install and update to the most recent version TAKES SOME TIME, you do not wish to do this 5 minutes before everything starts.
- Get a small avatar picture for your character if Claudia doesn't have one. (for example you never had on one the forums which she could take) It's not required but it's good for immersion.
- William is no longer allowed to draw on Claudia's pictures.
The game- Having your character papers handy is not a bad idea. Maybe you forgot about a certain skill you have and the live rp is a lot harder and you don't have a lot of time to think. Most likely you could also access your char sheet ingame, but you'll have to take your own notes on character progress.
- Kara set your clock you slacker Malkavian.
- The amount of players have grown substantially, maybe split the game up in 2? Or clone Claudia? Or we could have this flashpoint event that causes everyone to be in 1 room and work together. (Maybe something goes funky during the actual execution? :-D) Or maybe have this 5 minute turns where people in different areas can make up their actions and Claudia reacts, and during that time the other group makes up their mind. Slow paced but semi-doable.
- If you need to have a 1 on 1 conversation with someone due to a private cellphone conversation for example, you join another room to actually keep it private. The game is on hold during this time.
- William is no longer allowed to troll Claudia in relation to Nachtrae. (Neither is Nachtrae)
End:- The events take place during our actual game and thus a summery is posted on the correct locations on the forums but they are no transcripts so people are encouraged to take their own notes for full details to their characters.
