PostSubject: Forever Knight   Forever Knight EmptyTue Jul 02, 2013 8:52 pm

I was looking for good vampire series to watch that were not twilight-y and I came across a canadian series called Forever Knight, and I was wondering if any of you guys had heard of or actually seen it and whether you can recommend it.
I've been looking for a good vampire series for ages and I am losing hope, what little I've seen of the show seems decent but if any of you guys know it please tell me if it's a good show.
Thanks Very Happy

If I had time I would have checked it. Maybe in the future, when the fascist oppressor tutor stops moaning for results.Crying or Very sad

I kinda want to see it, but I'm not sure.

Hellsing I love, even if I haven't seen every episode of the OVA series yet, though I have seen all of the original TV series. I should have bought the OVA series already, although the last anime I bought was Trinity Blood. Not the usual Vampire story, but I still like it. Only problem is, it ends on something of a cliffhanger, and...have I said this before?

Vampire Knight I...liked, although I was somewhat unsure of it at first. Still, that was one hell of a twist.

Well it's an interesting animé/manga in its own way, although very girly and shojo in its style... of course! It's teen manga. But it's.. interesting.

Kyuuketsuki Miyu (Vampire Princess Miyu) is very very good, be it the OAVs, the different mangas (many different "seasons") or the anime. the music is by Kenji Kawai (aka "ghost in the shell guy")

I've seen Kindred The Embraced and was saddened by how short it was, I've also seen Hellsing both Ultimate and the regular non-manga based anime, Vampire Knight I started reading and got bored maybe I'll give it another go.
So far the only series I can watch is True Blood so I was hoping Forever Knight would be good.
And of course Buffy was one of my favourite shows, I watched it with my sister when I was little-er.
So as you can see I am in desperate need of vampire shows Very Happy

I'll check Trinity blood.

I haven't watched Hellsing, but I've read the manga and I can heartily recommend it.

The regular anime is very nice for its music and ambiance (and a few trolls, be sure to watch even the things at the end).
The oav are much closer to the manga and the story is amazingly awesome. Nazis. That's all I have to say XD

Vampire knight has a certain daily life which many shojo have, which makes it so "I could be there ^^". I think the love triangle is meh.

Miyu is a sure shot, even if a little more about kami than actual vampires.

I'm not a fan of Dance, it had its interests but I thought it was too much of a draft rather than good things to read/watch. (kinda like Rosario+vampire.. somehow)

Oh, there's this very interesting but odd manga called Blood Alone. The graphs and characters are very interesting, and it's investigation based (not heroic saving the world kind of action stuff).

Well Hellsing OVA is simply amazing in every aspect, funny action packed and badass all the way, just so you have an idea of what I'm searching for (I didn't know Vampire Knight was a love story) is a bloody and gory vampire show or anime/manga. If any of you have read or watched Berserk (all time fav of mine) I'd like something like that but with a vampire main charachter.
I've started Trinity Blood, seems good, it has a vampire hunter D feeling to it, and will try Dance in the Vampire bund (despite warnings) and Blood alone.

I tried watching Dance In the Vampire Bund, but I only watched two episodes. Why? Well, whatever connection to Twilight there is, I didn't get it. However, there is one thing in the second episode(at least I think it was the second) that pissed me off, and no, it isn't any thing that might be obvious about Mina.

Rosario+Vampire didn't bother me, although I haven't watched very much of that yet.

Oh. Blood alone isn't bloody and gory though.

Watch blood the last vampire (the oav anime, not the real person movie).

There are many way one can react to Twilight, but I didn't expect fear would be one of them.

Ya, and what if the bloody sparkling is contagious?
Imagine me going somewhere to cause a bit of mischief and suddenly the Obtenebration tentacles begin to sparkle...
Then instead of being a madman, I'd look like a complete idiot.
