I just find it funny that Neb's been scolded just about all night so far in Elysium and took it well, and then Felix gets scolded and he takes it badly.

That is what VTM is (at least the way I read it) plots within plots within plots. Frankly you have to be careful about who you piss off...even if you are an Elder and they are a Neonate. You never know what someone might come up with or do.

Felix now should be thinking of ways to bring about Christopher's humiliation.

I would, but Felix has a million other things on his mind besides revenge. Things like if he built a clockwork automaton, would it be considered a piece of art or a piece of engineering by his peers, and if he builds a watch out of the materials he has laying around, will it actually be high enough quality that he can give it to someone else without it seeming like an insult? He's also got wine on his mind. He's still trying to figure out if he can drink it or not since his stomach doesn't function anymore. Little things really.

Thankfully he was allowed to keep the bits of metal, otherwise he'd be completely beside himself.

Felix needs to plan and stick up for himself...A. no one else will. B. He needs to save face to the rest of his clan after a embarrassing situation like he just found himself in. If he just lets it go or forgets about it his own clan will make his life hard...he will become a laughing stock and none of his art will be taken seriously.

Yeah, that's pretty much what he's currently doing.

He's going to Griffin to ask him how much negative status he gained from that little incident, once he knows that, he can begin trying to repair his reputation. That's why felix couldn't face Jerome, because he knows he's messed up and he doesn't want to face him until he fixes things.

None of his art will be taken seriously anyway... by Duncan. Then again, I don't think Duncan is Felix's target audience.

Griffin is probably going to tear him a new one. I could spend a while listing the reasons. Frankly you should just take it a accomplished that you need to repair your rep.

And boy Duncan...you can tell you are new school Brujah...the scholars loved art...just were not mesmerized by it like the Torie's are.

Duncan doesn't take machines seriously? Not even if they have the potential for violent uses? I figured Duncan would be all about that.

Also, yeah Griffin probably will, but as far as Felix knows, that's how you find out that sort of stuff.

Brujah were warrior-poets.  I doubt even the old Brujah would have an appreciation for clockwork sculpture.  I'll believe Felix can actually produce 'art' when I see it (i.e. when the Storyteller tells me it's good).  Many Kindred lose their creativity after the Embrace, you know.
