Experience

Quick question. Do our characters receive experience in this game?

During a teamspeak session; the present folks got to increase an attribute and a skill of choice by one each.
That's the only time I can remember getting new stats.

We've only done it once so far. Then again, only 6 days nights have passed. Post a lot, and time will pass more quickly; hence XP will probably be given more frequently too.

Considering you're playing an older NPC, you do not get to complain about XP :-p

This night seems to be passing fairly quickly being that it is already after 10pm. I want to post more but right now Neb is waiting on Nyx to respond (unless someone cares to answer the question he asked by telling him Nyx's name so we can move along in case it is several days before Nyx's player shows up again).

EDIT: Before people go talking shit, no, I don't think Mikael should receive the attribute + ability points the neonates received, nor do I want it. I'm just asking so I can plan if there's a need for it. *joins the eyerolling guild*

Actually, when Duncan introduced Neb, he also introduced Nyx.

That is what I get for posting at 6:30 am. I will ask Claudia to edit that out tomorrow and try to come up with something better. In any case it is almost the weekend so after tomorrow nothing new from me until Monday.

Been there done that.  Sometimes (like tonight) I wake up and can't get back to sleep.  So I check the forum.  I probably shouldn't post in that condition, but I still do.  You miss stuff.  Like ThePhilosoraptor said in the 'Lulz' thread, sometimes we all make mistakes.

It's easier in a live game.  The ST can ask, "Are you sure you want to say/do that?"  When an ST asks that question, you know it's time to think twice.  Here, we don't have that luxury.


Speaking of a live game (ahem), wouldn't it be great if we could organize another TeamSpeak session before long?    Of course, with more people, that means it's harder to schedule.  But I thought I'd ask.

I try not to say "are you sure ?" because that feels a little too.. uh.. "controling". But I do give out like "your character knows this" or "your character might not know this". every now and then especially when city history and specific subjects are held. For instance, when Mikael was talking to Gregory about writing, and when Gregory mentionned Griffin was reading his draft, I wrote that Griffin has a reputation of liking books (and that Gregory only makes one shots)

Me: "DIE!"

ST: "Is that your definitive answer?"

Me: "Eeh, I mean, Yes liege..."
Me: "Wait, DIE!"
Me: "Or... C. Rosebud!"
Me: "Okay, B, Yes Liege."

I didn't say you said that, I was more joking and being Jealous while sulking in the corner. Then again, there is no NPC that was the awesomeness that is William, so I made a new char, you're welcome.

Actually when you sent me the concept I was like "I could pull off a NPC for you with similar personality/interests/stuff", but I prefered having your PC in game and see things be lulz

That probably would have ended up with me playing Igor :-o
