| Has anyone on here tried to get into this other series by White Wolf? I like a lot of it, but it has been really hard to get into sometimes (mainly due to the extreme extent they take to keep some Western European influences out of it).
I've tried to talk to some people on the Onyx Path forums about it (the new White Wolf forums), but so many people on there are complete morons, it's hard to talk about anything.

| I played.. 2nd edition for a couple of years. It's very nice, it's epic adventure in a very fantastic setting (pre-creation'sh). Anima is a better system for similar results and similar world | |

| I wish I could get into it more, but it's just too Asian and everything else besides western Europe for me. Not that I need a big medieval kingdom with knights and kings and queens, but something similar to the ancient peoples of that region would be nice. However, asking for some kind of representation for that in Exalted seems to be a huge no from the main camp. | |

| Uh.. It's not asian. I mean, it's pre-humanity regardless. You got fooled by the art bro.

That might be it, but I'm not so sure. I think it's a lot of the depiction of East Asian styled buildings and cultural things like that, that puts me off. I would have thought Exalted would have made your head blow off, Claudia- there's so much 'speshul' in Exalted

| Dude, Exalted is epic by nature. It's supposed to be shiny, speshul, and adventure. They're supposed to be overpowered. I like it a lot ! I prefer Anima, however (the world is more interesting), but Exalted didn't present itself as dark, urban horror and then serves us super heroes with fangs. I wouldn't play politics, close up intrigue horror with Exalted, because that's not part of the contract. Forget about the art, read the texts ! there's no "cultural things" because, well, basically they're "before" culture. Think Warcraft | |

| I wish a lot more people would treat is as proto-culture when talking about these things, however. When you ask about these things, a of people will get overly offended by it or be very defensive and say all kinds of crap. I think I'll treat it as proto-culture from now on because it seems a lot more viable to play it that way. | |
