| So, do we as a forum manage to fill in all of the balls? I tempted to say yes, but that seems ambitious. | |

| Considering we have over 700 members, and the number of countries is, if I'm not mistaken, 192, when we can. Many times over actually. Brazilball is here! | |

| I just have to wonder if we will ever manage to put Basque in a linguistic family. That language confuses me to no end. HOW DID IT HAPPEN?! Why hasn't it spread into other languages more than it has? | |

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?! Why hasn't it spread into other languages more than it has? The language itself is a linguistic big ass wtf to us over here It's not indo-european and there are many many studies on going to find out where does that thing come from. Current theories out there at my uni say it might be sino-caucasian (by caucasian i mean from the causasius). So yeah. It's chinese :p

You want it to spread?! You can't hate humanity that much! Does any of you guys want to take my History of the English Language exam? It supposed to be English, but it's mostly Basque. I don't want to have anything in common with that language!

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?! Why hasn't it spread into other languages more than it has? Basque is a relic language. It's related languages spun from Atlantic to at least Volga. Then Indoeuropeans came from the Steppe. According to mtDNA reasearch the only survivors of pre-Indoeuropeans in Europe are Basques ans Welsh. Their lands were simply too poor to be an incentive for conquerors. The latter lost their language and culture to the Celts, too. Rest... Well, lets say Germans weren't first with final solutions... Ugrofinians are also of non-Indoeuropean stock, but let's be honest: who would bother to conquer their frozen wastes? That make them natives of Europe, on par with Basques. Let's face it, we Europeans came from Iran! Or Central Asia... So did most non Drawida inhabitants of Indian Subcontinent...
