The river is too opaque so kindred could kinda survive.. if they don't get dragged to the surface of course

It's used in British English. i think... not sure where I picked that up.

blimey is a shortish version of "beleive me !"
yeah it's UK slang, goes for "gosh !"

Corinna does not 'stare like a dork'. If at all, she observes attentively.   
On the other hand, whether she observes the empty Deambulatoire or the public execution doesn't make all that much difference since she'd probably be more of a pretty plant right now (maybe even more than Claudia, but less pretty, more plant-y, I guess).
