An idea for an RP I wanted to share

Alrighties, I remember chatting on the Chatbox with Philo, Clauds and Kara, and now after mulling over it, wanted to see what the entirity of the TCI forum thinks of this.

What do you all think of the idea of a Bloodlines RP? An RP that takes the story of Bloodlines and makes it into a playable PnP Chronicle(s)? Of course, an idea of bringing in a few things from CE, TFN, Clan Quest Mod and the Patches (Edgar Hirst, Akeem, potential politics, etc)

I can edit this first message to include everything that would be a problem or main points of it.


1 - Adding in more characters to play in. This seems to be a problem as the PC is a Fledgling and the game is single player. However, I don't think that the Camarilla would have the public execution of 3-8 Fledgelings in one night (at least a Camarilla whose Prince isn't Lacroix). An idea Kara had was that there were a few people embraced outside of this. For example, a Brujah NPC sired and had a childe. He wants to get rid of Lacroix/embarrass Lacroix further and so has his Childe helping the PC. This has many possibilities. Tremere apprentices, newly embraced Brujah in the Anarch fold, Ventrue by Lacroix's lackeys, etc.

Who knows. Maybe even people who are already sired and have been active for a long time.

2 - Another idea is one that Claudia brought up. Revising a few characters and events. I want to say is that this has the potential to be a good thing...
The reason I add this as a problem/idea is because recently, reboots haven't done too well to put it.

3 - How to do the RP. Honestly, this is dependent on everyone involved. Is it on a forum, on Skype or what does everyone prefer?

4 - Storyteller. Who would be willing to storytell such a story?

5 - Things from mods. Would any addition be fine? I wouldn't mind hearing about an idea of a "accidentally broke the masquerade, people pulling my strings are living right below me". *coughEdgarcough* Would add much interest.

What are your thoughts?

I find text based RP is a little slow for my taste, so I'll pass.

What ruleset would you use?
An idea might be to run the campaign with the PC as an NPC, IE: the coterie are all at the execution, brought by our sires as a kind of "see what could happen if you don't listen to me" deal, then two nights later the warehouse blows up on us, sent out to investigate.
there are a few points where other active vamps are mentioned: the anarch who dusted a plaguebringer gets no name, plenty of nosferatu hidden, other Tremere neonates, ect. simple enough for the coterie in your chronicle to be ones doing this. Blood hunt as a hunter? Participate or be next. Also, there are a number of times in combat environs where a cleanup crew would be needed afterwards. Giant dead land-shark, anyone?
a few events would be excluded, we can't go raiding SoL, obviously, but other events could be placed for these nights.

yeah, sure. Get a couple others and I'm game. I suck at ST-ing though. spent too many decades as a DM.

If we do it, and agree on it , we might even drive Malaks idea further. Make the players a Sabbat pack sent to LA to create a bit of havoc on the new "prince", and getting caught up in the events.
That might mean leaving out the Santa Monica prelude, because we are sent out to investigate and avenge the disruption of our warehouse operations.
Well, there is plenty of the story that could also be done from the Sabbat or some independent (Giovanni, Setites) point of view. Who blew up the warehouse? What's the story with the old box from the boat? Get rid of the maniaks who destroy our food resources! Try to get a foothold in Hollywood and/or Chinatown.
Or the coterie could be located in Hollywood. Being part of Isaak's barony. That would probably exclude Tremere characters. But who needs mages anyway?

I had an unexplained idea upon the game itself, but was thinking.

What if the PC was split into 3-4 PCs? All of them are fledgelings and may/may not have the same sire, overall letting a few people play through the game as it normally was inside it?

A further idea is that with those background players, what if this would let people play multiple characters? The only problem with this is possible metagaming.

I'd personally love to play the follow up of Bloodlines, after either the good Cam ending, or the independent or Anarch endings.

other ideas:
the coterie belongs to Isaaks anarchs (do we ever meet any of them besides Isaac, Ash, and whoever it is that sends you to meet Isaac?)
Grout had some "deliver in case I die" message set up
the coterie belongs to someones clean-up crew immediately after the PC goes psychotic and kills half of Californias kindred (and Cathayans) and blew up the ventrue tower. (it could actually collapse completely from that blow).
    Any group would have it's own clean-up crew and power vacuum. LA anarchs, Cam, Sabbat, Cathayans(probably just lick their wounds or go home for now, they got BEAT). Hollywood anarchs are probably in the best place to stabilize power, since they lost nothing (and might have a new gargoyle)

hmm, now I need to make a total list of the dead, including mass groups of victims. How many vamps died in the blood hunt? how many ghouls were involved in the Tower assault? What ghouls are now master-less? How do the hunter groups react to this (fight or flight? more armies of hunters?) What about independent hunters?
Do any magi notice or care? Other than the whole Kue-jin temple and whatever happened with that magic now that whats-her-tentacle is dead, I doubt we did anything that would alert them.

or we could always say Ennoi gets fed up with all of our bullshit and eats the city.
