Hellblazer aka John Constantine

As comics weren't popular in Bulgaria, I never had the chance to get hook on those, but now with the TV show, I'm in!

I'll be ordering vol. 1 Original Sins, cause I feel the characters and the stories deserve more exploring.

The mood kinda reminds me of VTM, but more Angelic/Demonic and less vampiric. I would say it's actually even darker.

Any fans of John Constantine besides me?

The super unfaithful movie with Keanu Reeves? It's not a bad movie, but it's not exactly John Constantine... except for the smoking.

Liked the movie, watch the series. Never read the comics though*, too expensive for me and I never get into in on pc.
*Except a little that got into Sandman.

I really like the character and he's even more of an ass in the comics. I think they've really done him well. I really liked the movie, but I prefer the TV show 10 times better.

It is possible that the show might be canceled or sold to another channel like SyFy. NBC has high expectations in terms of ratings and Constantine is not performing well.

In my opinion the quality of the show is amazing and I simply can't get enough of it. It's super close to the comic arcs as well.

Selling it to Syfy would probably result in cancellation too. I'm still bitter over Farscape.

Well, NBC are a bunch of morons that want cash with no effort. Initially they put it in 10pm on Fridays... I mean c'mon, that's a killer for a new show. They did not allow John to smoke and wanted monster of the week TV show, so that they can have all the money from the comic book show, because you know, they're popular now.

Despite their stupid rules, Constantine is turning serialized quite well, the TV crew fought to allow John to smoke and be as mean and dark as the source material. The show is super awesome right now, but with no marketing campaign and a bad start, it's only natural that it will struggle in ratings. People do not know about this show for God's sake.

I'm ranting now, but if they cancel it...
