| Fans, kindred, and fellow blood suckers,
I wanted to create a thread that talks about my personal life and how it pertains to modding TFN. Obviously my enthusiasm for modding TFN is dictated by what's happening in my personal life so talking about it can help us figure out when new content will get made and released. That's the purpose of this thread.
Today is Monday and I'm sitting at work thinking about my weekend. I went to the gym, vomited on a strangers shoes, went on a first date with a sweet lil lady, then went to the gym again on Sunday, went on another date, went grocery shopping, played some online chess, then watched Bram Stoker's Dracula and fell asleep.
Where in my weekend did I test, mod, or come up with ideas for TFN? I didn't... sadly. I was all gun ho about creating the new Presence System video and posting it then finding volunteers to help me alpha test it. I didn't do any of that this weekend. Why? Because after 3-4 months of straight modding, the release of TFN 1.3, the stuff with Marvin, just everything, I think I'm getting a little burnt out.
I haven't heard back from Mindy or Renee about voice acting and honestly I haven't even approached them. Why? Because I'm getting a little burnt out and don't want to do it. I'm not really interested in playing a different game or anything like that, I'm just tired of the whole "modding this, managing the website, comments, and everything that goes along with the modding lifestyle".
Does this mean I'm going to disappear into torpor like I've done so many times in the past? I don't think so, not this time. I really like hanging out on this forum and talking to everyone, I think I'm going to stick around, but not as "Zer0 the modder who gives new content like Santa Claus", but "Zer0 the friend of TCI and the members that belong to it".
Will I ever go back to modding TFN? Absolutely! It's my full intention to complete 1.4 and probably even do a 1.5, I just need a little break for a few weeks.
Let's keep this thread open so I can put my random thoughts in it and update you guys with what I'm doing in life. After all, if I died in real life, nobody would have any way to reach me to see if a new version of TFN was coming out, LOL.

| BAD SANTA! Back in the cage! But in all seriousness, you did just release a new version. Take a (well deserved) break, enjoy your unlife, go for enthusiastic walks in the woods where you kill insane vampire priests and embrace big-titted police girls. | |

| I'm happy for you mate. Definitely take some well-earned time off. We love the game enough to still be playing it over a decade after its release. I think we can manage a few weeks or months without new content. | |

| I don't think anyone minds you taking time off to do whatever until you feel fresh and ready again for modding, do whatever floats your boat for a bit. | |

| Zer0, don't worry. You deserve a break. And it would be weird for 1.4 to come out too quickly after 1.3 anyway. | |

| I like how you keep bringing up that you threw up on some stranger's shoes As for the break: Pretty sure you deserve one so don't stress out about it. Take your time and return to it when you're ready! | |

| Thanks guys!
Good news, last night (after watching Dracula again) I decided to create a new Ishtarri Male character with the "Provocative Action-Star" background who specializes in Seduction and Presence. I want to test out this new Presence system to make sure it's fun and works well. So in essence, I'm not modding per se but I'm troubleshooting and tweaking the system, as well as fixing bugs still.
Last night I fixed the Fiery Hands/Serpentis Claws bug where if you had the Fang of Vukodlak the original fists would stay after shapeshifting.

| He's not making anything new. He's just making what is already in work as it should. | |

This ^^ I've made so many new systems, tweaks, changes, etc... that it's gotten out of hand and I need to reel it back in, test it, play with it, polish it, etc... So that's what I'm doing now, I'm actually playing the game to see how it works in a real world scenario. Most of my best ideas have come from actually playing TFN, because as I'm playing, I'm always thinking "Wouldn't it be cool if..." That and I'm trying to enjoy my new female friend, socializing (something I haven't done in awhile), and getting out of my third story crypt that I live in. Yes, I do have large black blankets over all of the windows in my apartment, I live like a vampire.

| This is actually quite true.
But tell me, when did you have the opportunity to discover this? I worked as a night security guard at a morgue/funeral home and was just plain tired one morning.

| Life insurance. If you die, you get the funeral, the coffin, people crying... so I had to check if it was good so I could RIP. | |

| Why do you want to rest in piece? Planning on waiting out a century or two? I'll get a couple goth wanabe-demonist to pour virgin blood (probably their own) into your throat and wake you up at a pre-arranged time. Just of the many services a good ghoul can provide to his mistresses subj- allies.
Edit: To the Voivodate, you continue to have my sincerest apologies about that whole Order of Hermes issue. I was not yet aware that magi exited in the technical sense, and failed to divine their motivation.

I don't know. There's not much room in there. Unless you're a Pygmy and use a coffin for an average sized American

| Well, your not going to get down in one, but there is plenty of room for a single person, even if they toss, so long as you don't need to sprawl out. And the padding under that silk tufting . . . I may be biased, being a claustrophile, though. | |

American coffins are huge for obvious reasons. Takes 6 men to carry one and the person inside... mostly the person inside, LOL. I think a kindred with Potence would even struggle to carry an average American.
