| I don't like the idea that every vendor buys every item from the pc. Or no one buys it if I set the resell value to 0. So I think I'll create an ugly hack to make resell prices different for the vendors. My thoughts so far: -Trip buys weapons for the usual reduced price, drugs at full price (maybe only after the Trip drug quest), and other items at a slightly reduced price. -Mercurio buys only weapons, but at a higher rate than other vendors. The guns he sells maybe even at full price. -Vandal only buys bloodpacks, and he's one of two who buy them at all.
-Larry buys weapons at the usual reduced rate, other things at normal price, but no drugs or blood. -Pisha will buy your occult items at full price as soon as you have dealt with Milligan and got her second quest, but nothing else.
-The "Red Spot" guy buys nothing. -Romero sells ammo for every gun the player has and buys guns at full rate after you solved one of his quests. But he buys or sells nothing else, not even melee weapons, crossbows, or crossbow bolts.
-Tseng buys weapons at a higher rate and drugs at full cost. Maybe blood at reduced rate. -Mr Ox buys occult items after you accepted his first quest. Maybe he'll sell them as well.
Other vendors will buy occult items, but only at a drastically reduced rate because they only see the mundane value of the items. What do you think?

By "higher rate", you mean higher than other vendors, not higher than purchase price, correct? Even at haggle 10, I should not be able to make money by buying and selling the same item back and forth.

You probably have noticed that you can sell most weapons only at a drastically reduced price. About 1/4 of the real value, and that still adjusted by haggle. So for the "higher rate" I was thinking of 50 or 60% of the base value. Of course nothing can go above buying cost. - Claudia wrote:

That's what I mean by "other things". So Larry buys them at full price, and Trip pawns them at about 80%

It's not that much like Skyrim. It's just that you can't sell all items to every trader. But on the other hand for some items you can get better prices if you go to specialized or friendly traders. And I have decided that Mercurio will sell all pistols, revolvers, and submachineguns as soon as you can trade with him. But the Deserteagle, Colt Anaconda, and Uzi cost double the normal price. But he will pay 1/2 instead of 1/4 for most guns, and the full price for the automatic shotgun, SWAT rifle, flame thrower, and Steyr. Also he, Romero, and Pisha are the only ones who offer more than the resell value of a katana for the occult blade.

| I don't understand the overall concept of uLA so I don't know if this system would work well in it or not. The idea itself I'm not a big fan of because it sounds messy and frustrating along with unnecessary traveling just to sell some items for the best price. Again though, I don't know what your overall mod is shooting for so this idea may be very appropriate for it. We'll wait and see and I'm excited to see the overall product! | |

| It's interesting, but I'm not sure if it's worth the ugly hack. I also question if the realism is worth the inconvenience. | |
