Alternatively, if we make this technology cheap enough, we diminish the number of unwanted children, abortions, and unplanned pregnancies. This could also solve many areas issues with teen (and below) pregnancies.

We could harvest sperm and ovaries from the dead bodies and fecund them in vitro.
But one male can fecundate millions of ovaries, while you would harvest 1 ovary for every dead women...

I'm assuming the technology will eventually become dirt cheap and available to everyone, which is exactly why it'll be a problem. There will be no children at all if nobody wants to have real sex anymore.

I suppose we can have AI carry our civilization on into the future.
