Which Path of Enlightenment would you follow if Embraced?

I was reading some source material from White Wolf and some of the Paths do make sense...

Hence my question: which one do you consider best for a Cainite/which one would you follow?

If I had to pick one, prolly Self-Focus or Honorable Accord. Harmony is pretty cool and Caine could be worse. That said, don't particularly care for any of them, always something up with one or another.

I have to say, as much as I'd want to be on a different path, I think the only one I'd be on is Humanity.

Although a part of me is really interested on the Path of Power and the Inner Voice.

If not the Via Humanitas, I would probably follow the Path of the Feral Heart. Or, you know, whatever path my sire brainwashed me into following.

I'd probably just keep my Humanity, but I like Scorched Heart from an intellectual perspective and Entelechy from a moral one.

I would not have expected Malak to be a fellow Predator... Saulot and Power and The Inner Voice was also a tad surprising.
Both Scorched Heart and Entelechy are interesting for their focus, but I find this focus too narrow and limiting.

I would have followed one of three Paths: Harmony, for a Cainite, especially a Gangrel, is a predator, but also a human; Honorable Accord for its moral and knightly appeal, however it seems archaic nowadays; last but not least Redemption for a Cainite is a walking proof of G*d's existence, hence should seek his grace.

Entelechy has some appeals, but I dislike how they make you take responsibility for somebody else's action by definition and how they're rigid about never acting on passion. It's like Scorched Heart-lite with a moral focus instead of an intellectual one.

I don't see Feral Heart being so much a Predator Path so much as a Naturalistic one. It's not about being a predator, it's about being a Cainite. That happens to include being a predator, but it's not the primary focus. Rather, the Predator is only one aspect of the Beast. More importantly, though, is that the Feral Heart holds no lies to itself, and is the thing it presents itself to be. There is a Beast, and it is allowed to BE the Beast, but unlike the Via Beastae, the Feral Heart does not allow the Beast to conquer the human mind. Both sides must survive together, or neither one will. The Feral Heart is the path of honesty and absolute confidence. It is the path of survival.

METAMORPHOSIS

Wow, how unexpected.

Second place goes to the Path of Self-Focus. After this one, probably either Feral Heart or Power and The Inner Voice. Path of Humanity after that.

That was as unexpected as Spanish Inquisition... lol!

The other Paths you choose were also not too unexpected, I felt a belly rub at Feral Heart. Wink

Do Caitiffs get to pick Paths?

About the same as any other kindred can. Very few non-elders "pick" a path though. Mostly they get taught one (including humanity) by their sire, and are stuck with that for a long time.

I don't think you really get taught Humanity. It's just what you have by default.

Very much that. Any Cainite or Ravenant can follow a Path, in rarer cases even Ghouls do... All you need is a Mentor who knows it and an intensive instruction perion. Be warned though, failed change od morality code often leads to Wassail.

I want the Path that allows me to tame the Beast.
I will feed it, and it will not attack people unless I allow it - much like a guard dog.

Does such a Path exist?

Well... That sounds simmilar to the Path of Harmony I mentioned earlier.
