Actually, cultures that started de novo, without borrowing heavily from predecessors were the Chinese (Xia and before), Harappa (Indus Civilization), Sumer (but not so much Egypt: they took agriculture from the Fertile Crescent), Olmec and possibly some Andean Civilization. All the rest are really indebted to their predecessors. It is a good thing, as it allows customs, ideas, religions, cosine, tools, technologies, domesticated plants, crafts, traditions, philosophical ideas and more to survive when their parent cultures inevitably die. It is a way of not having to reinvent the wheel all the time, as well as to make our lives a bit more interesting and satisfying.

In Poland, our culture has even more mixed elements than in Brazil and way more mixed than in Western Europe, so I could be biased.

It's a bullshit made-up problem made by the same people who invented other bullshit made-up problems like the patriarchy, male priviledge or systemic racism.

Basically it is another excuse to prattle on about how whites are evil, it boils down to "If you're white, you cannot use things that are from non-white cultures", like the white boy who got bullied by a crazy black hag because "dreads are for blacks only", or the indian dude in Bill Nye show lecturing "white people" in cultural appropriation while wearing a blazer.

Funny because if this cultural appropriation bullshit was adopted into politics, it would mean the end of immigration and the deportation of everyone who is a non-majority from their countries into their "ancestor" countries, even if their family have been in the new country for multiple generations.

It would mean science and medicine being avaiable only to those of the same background as the ones who made it.
It would mean forcing people to adopt clothing styles based on their ancestry and not on their own choice
It would mean the end of speech since we would only be allowed to learn one languague, that of our ancestors
It would mean the end of trading since you cannot use what has not been obtained or developed by your people

Cultural Appropriation, if taken honestly means the end of diversity, which is funny coming from the diversity religious fanatics. But of course, cultural appropriation is only a problem if it's white people doing it.

Very recently we had a nice series about old languages. Why haven't you prepared for today's test, Feral? Fart - fahren, the common denominators are there, it is very close to german and english. I was able to translate (not read out loud) a sign back in Sweden. Well it was about a fast food chain, but still

Swedish is a Germanic language, Ok. But is it really so much like German?
All contact I had with it is through Swedish heavy metal.

Judging by that list it sounds more similar to Dutch than German. But the list is too short to give a definitive answer.

Realise the items on the list were chosen for it's fonetic properties.

I would say Swedish and German have similarities, I can recognize the grammatical structure and see how the logic of some German word structures work in comparison to Swedish word structures. That said, for us to understand each other while talking we'd need education. When I was a kid I met this German kid on a camping trip whom I befriended and hung out with (this was before I spoke English fluently) and we could communicate very slightly to make our intents understood, but actual talks was beyond us and we had to get my dad to translate for us whenever confusion arose.
