I love 40k as well as WH Fantasy, and I really hope that somewhere down the line they make Total War Warhammer 40k. Karavolos' post shows how diplomacy would work there.

Jokes aside, I've tried a lot of WH related games so far, love Total War WH, kinda enjoyed Blood Bowl II, absolutely love WH40k Dawn of War series, 40k Armageddon and Space Wolf were crap, played some iOS game, crap, played Regicide, and so on...

From what I've seen they've actually transferred some of the tabletop mechanics into the game which is interesting.
Like if you spray your enemies with bullets you have them under suppression which means they move a lot slower towards you.
On bigger enemies if you destroy their body parts they can't use certain attacks.
Usage of covers, destruction of covers too.
And they've added execution kills too, which is brutal and worthy of W40k lol.
Gameplay does look somewhat slow from what I've seen from Alpha builds, but that will hopefully improve.
And I actually liked IA of Van Helsing quite a lot, so that's why I'm hoping for something positive.

Thanks for the mention of the mod, I'll be sure to check it out.
Bookmarked original and beginning of the end times too, hope it's not as script polluted as Third Age mod was lol.

No problems, just be aware that it has some stability issues. Otherwise great fun.

Bro, I don't have this sort of budget...

Think I have some leftovers gathering dust somewhere in my parents' storage, but I don't know which parent and have long since stopped with miniatures. Ynnead is a little bit of a sore spot for me cuz I like him as a concept, but then they broke the terms of the prophecy by bringing him in with plenty of Eldar still around. Latest edition is a mixed bag all in all, I'd say.

I will eat my words if you link me, but I'm pretty sure that there was no ritual going on that legit had the power, nevermind intend, to sacrifice every single Eldar (Craftworld or otherwise) currently in existance and thus fulfill the (old and prophecized) terms of Ynnead's birth. Either way it's one of the things I have to work on to look past or else learn to accept.

Turns out you are right. There was a ritual to awaken Ynnead enacted by High Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, but it was interrupted by the Imperial Deathwatch.
