I want to make a boat the size of a city or small country to float on international waters with a population full of kind people. Do you also want that?

Does it have decent internet connectivity? If so I'm game.

Mainly because we will use satelites; our localization will not be a secret; to enter the boat-island you will need permission, and will be shot first and asked questions after (prevent invasions, since it's a no-man-land), so internet is top priority.

Edit: Law of the land is common sense. Everything will be monitored, via cameras or GPS/transponders (to be in the island, you absolutely need to tell where you are)

I didn't say privacy is unnecessary, just over rated. There would be no surveillance inside rooms or bathrooms, only on the corridors and streets leading to the houses. That way, we can firmly affirm who broke into your house and stole your goods or killed your family or etc. Having GPS on everyone at all times helps a bunch too.

Sounds to me he only would've wanted it in the public sphere, which I have slightly less issues with. But I can sympathize with the notion of privacy across the board too and treat us as innocent until there's cause to suspect guilt, nevermind needing steps to defend against it.

It's a no-man's land. I care little about what people do or don't, because other people will take care of it, for themselves. If they don't like fat people, they are free to do what they wish - including recommending all kinds of diets and healthy food. It's a very big cycle.
The law we will use the is the first law of nature: You can do whatever you want, so long as you face the consequences.

(in modern society, we don't follow that law, we have to abbdicate it to actually live in society, safely)

So wait, then why the monitoring?

For safety and security. It will be used mainly to eliminate suspects during investigations. If someone broke into your house, you can tell that some people were at their work places in the time of the crime. Then, you can see the people that walked close to your house; you can even see the thief(ves) running away with your furniture in some cases.
Remember, it's the middle of the ocean. Not many places to run away to.
