It sounds plausible. I'd have to check the given information in order toreally make up my mind, but I'm not interested enough in it to bother.

@Philo: Agronomy. PhD in Agricultural Sciences with specialty in Agronomy, McS engeneer in Biotechnology, with specialty in Plants.
Most of what I actually do is metabolomics, plant breeding (new varieties and stuff), microbiology (how to do bad stuff to bacteria and make wounds heal using plant metabolites)... Molecular Biology was an option, but I ultimately went other way and now have the high ground.

Estonia and Latvia have significant Russian minorities too. Meanwhile, Russia has big Chinese minority in the Far East...

The most likely reason why Russia annexed Crimea is because it had a naval base there (the only one in the Black Sea I think) and it was questionable whether the new pro-western government would continue to rent out the land it was on the same way the old pro-russian government did. So unless Estonia and Latvia house any crucial Russian naval bases they should be relatively safe.

It's fundamentally the same reason why Russia is so strongly supporting Assad in Syria. IIRC they have their only naval base in the Mediterranean Sea there.

Well, there is only a refinery (oil, not vodka... Sorry, Jad.) at Możejki, so you could be right.

I think a proper mad scientist could easily become a corrupt billionaire (before blowing all the money on experiments and a moon base). If you can't do it, then you're just the boring kind of crazy.
