I wouldn't mind Vlad being black, but it seems highly unlikely to be true. I'm now curious where Mr. Nasheed gets his (alternative) facts from.

As for the picture, it seems rather unfair towards the young woman on the left. I get the joke, but it would be funnier if the cat's shirt simply said "human".

No, because the fact that a person will die soon-ish does not make it moral to kill that person, unless maybe you are doing so to prevent it from suffering a lot.

I meant it rather from the point of view of the demons. If humans are not a precious, rare commodity, then such a sacrifice is rather offensive. Like tossing trash in the pit...

Although ancient peoples already had this conception that sacrificing something for the gods that you will not miss is not a sacrifice at all. It must hurt for it to be a sacrifice. Can't remember who exactly said it but I read alot of shit about the ancient meditarrenean.
It is also said that this was the logic behind the Carthaginians sacrificing their newborn babies (not sure if it ever actually happened, though).
