As I lay with sinew inflammation, I decided to entertain myself (no, not Janette way):

I like the image insert at 5:30.
The video otherwise is a bit meh as it contains only the most basic information about the kingdom.

Well, there is little to say about a third sort kingdom tucked in the mountains between more powerful neighbors. Only sporadic pogroms and invasions brighten the monotony of Lyrians and Rivians... This dude has a lot more videos, many of them longer and richer in information.

I finished the first game. My life is sort of empty now...

Your life was already empty if you could stomach playing that abomination of a game

I guess my life must be empty too then. I played Witcher 1 probably 10 years ago and I relly liked it. It's still the one game in which I chose buying a book over buying better armor and never regretting it.

I couldn't figure out the combat and therefore the game is clearly lame.

Who needs a sword when you could read about sexual life of ghouls? I bankrupted Geralt t the beginning of each chapter to buy books and get the journal entries on both story and people, monsters, ingriedients... Have you noticed that OldVizima looks like 12 century Slavic gord (Gord), while Vizima is a High Medieval city with (incompetent) burgermeister...?
@Kara: The fighting systems are, well... Not the best, to say the least. But I learned how to use them at the beginning of the Prologue.

Keywords here are 10 years ago.
As Karagumgum said, the combat system really breaks the game. It's one of the less interactive combat systems ever made.
Witcher 2 is great but has a good share of flaws Witcher 3 is a masterpiece

How sensitive and full of restraint! As for Philo's standards, that is. Sadly, also true.

I played only W3, and for very little time. The combat felt amazing, the dialogues that I had the patience to listen were fine, and the quests were interesting.

All the minigames are annoying, but other than that it's a great game. Make sure to take all the basic sword talents, even if you want to focus on signs or alchemy. Especially the one that reduces damage taken from hits to your back. It's literally a life saver in fights where you get swarmed.

The ones from the Swordmanship tree are good, but avoid the one from the Training tree. +10 is too little to be worth it except in hardcore mode. The next one is +50, but that still averages out to only 30 per talent. I also never bothered with dagger throwing, arrow redirection, or parrying. If you can parry, you can also dodge and that doesn't use up vigor.
