Fresh Download. What do I need to install?

I just downloaded the game from a D2D website. What do I need to install to get this game up and running with the latest Camarilla Edition? Do I need to install any previous Camarillas or patches?

I downloaded Camarilla Edition 1.4 and the game seems to be working.
I also see there is a new Camarilla Edition 1.4.02 and I'm trying to move the files from this download into my game folder but it is not working? Says Error and access denied or something. I'm using WinRAR.

Make sure you have VTMB closed and no files/folders in use when installing the minor patches. Try moving the files after a fresh restart.

Hi, welcome to the bloodsuckers

If it says something like access denied, make sure that your bloodlines main folder doesn't have the read only flag set. Some systems require you to have administrator rights to make the changes. Another thing that might help is unpacking the patch into a new directory first, and then move the data from there.

I changed the file from read-only. Also it was on a fresh restart. So whatever it was worked. I had to click a lot to move and replace and what not. Hopefully it works now. Thanks everyone
