| it always left me with the feeling of flanel threads caught between my teeth, with the sense of leaving loose ends, that the Mudd Hunt quest ends when you see the body of Muddy Mike Durbin the last victim of the Serial Killer. to me, a quest is only over when you report back to who sent you on the quest. and since Mudd Hunt gets entangled with Carnival of Death and the latter brings you to Santa Monica anyway to it's conclusion, it is my comtention that you should also have to report to Kilpatrick on the whereabouts of Muddy, namely, that he is dead, killed by the serial killer - which by the way is mentioned in casual conversation with Kilpatrick, it's one of the dialogue options. you should only get the message Quest Complete then, and perhaps a paltry XP, just one, and perhaps a miserly 100 dollar, at that time in the game small peanuts, as consolation prize, hey indeed Kilpatrick won't be able to collect bounty on him but i did go to the trouble of tracking him down and report on him, i should be compensated for that. But that is just me. | |

| Hey that's a pretty dang good idea Velvet!! I know you posted this in the CE thread but could I use this for TFN as well? I don't know if Malkav is up for some scripting right now (I think he's still taking a break) but maybe he might like this idea too. If not I could try to find some time to incorporate this for some extra XP and some closure to this quest.
Thanks for the idea! | |

| thank you me! YOUR appreciation means a lot to me! and indeed closure, it was the word i was searching for whithout knowing, indeed as it is the quest lacks closure! and why would you ask me?? i hope you are asking Childe of Malkav! i mean, you each went on separate projects, but this forum is still one team, right? i mean it doesn't matter where i posted it, Camarilla forum or TFN forum, whatever i (or for that matter anyone, i believe) post is up for grabs, if YOU, and i mean plural you, you developpers, you and Malkav, find it suitable, i mean you will do me a gift and a favor by incorporating it! and to be more precise, i don't know what Malkav is working on right now, CE 1.5? but i think i am done with CE for a while, i am eager now to play TFN, to try it out. so yes by all means use it, so that when i finaly end playing this CE and am free to turn to TFN i will find this quest in the form that i have always wanted it to be, with closure. once again, thank you me. | |

| HAHA, yes closure is the word of the day! LOL
I will try to find some time to get this setup, it's pretty much a matter of setting up python scripts, conditions, and actions to make this work. Possibly some sound/dialogue editing as well, but very doable. Right now I'm working on Akeem's dialogue to make the response box disappear while he's talking, like all the other NPCs. I'm also working on incorporating special dialogue for Salubri so they can "Heal" NPCs in distress for some extra XP, Obeah in dialogue similiar to Serpentis but for healing purposes.

| To be honest, I'm completely off Vampire right now. Playing or modding. I haven't even downloaded TFN beta. - | |

| Ya, I'm pretty burnt out on Bloodlines too right now, it has dropped from my 1st priority to my third. Wife and gym come first now, and when I get time then I mod. For some reason I'm still finding time though so I still knock out some good stuff almost daily. | |

Thats actually quite healthy. You are not paid for modding, and real life is always more important. Balance is the key, as one tightrope walker said.

| both of you have worked so hard, invested so much, and given all the rest of us so much, you are more than entitled to be burned out, to take a step back from it and for sure deal with other, "real life", pursuits. | |
