Excellent job on the mod. Just noticed a couple of bugs after playing through with a Malkavian and a Tremere.


Hysteria - Awesome that you guys put in the "nearby bystanders crowd around victim" effect. Only bug I noticed was when going through the sewers with Ash and using it on a hunter. Ash apparently got out of his self-absorbed depression to express concern for the hunter's fit of laughter :p

Ash at this time wasn't in combat mode (using presence and all that) so that might have had something to do with it.

Theft of Vitae - A more serious bug is when using this ability on various humanoid bosses (Blood Guardian, Gimble, Andrei, Bach, Andrei Zulo Form). It causes them to just stand still and motionless. Makes it easy to pick them off but I have a feeling it's not intended to make those fights into instant win mode.

Thanks for the bug report...

Hysteria - We didn't actually put that crowd effect in place, I'm not sure who did so as far as Ash dropping his offensive to be concerned for the Vamp Hunter, HAHA thats halarious but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Theft of Vitae - Good call man, ya that was broken to hell n back. I took a look at it first thing this morning and figured out the problem pretty quickly, not only did I fix it but the effect is actually a little cooler now than it was before.

Thanks for letting me know, this will be fixed in CE 1.2.

I believe so, at least Official Patch 1.2 and further. Maybe Wesp put it in, but I know it's been a part of Bloodlines since as long as I can remember. First time I noticed people coming to "Aid" the laughing victim was back in 2006-07, it's been around awhile. Therefore I'm not sure how to "Fix" the issue with Ash.

At least Theft of Vitae is fixed, heh.

A slight thought on Theft of Vitae - is it supposed to work on super-naturals? The Sabbat shock troopers that uses the Final Death animation when killed returns a substantial amount of Blood points but are otherwise not feed-able. Most "true" vampires, those using PC vampire skins do not seem to return blood quite consistently however.

Also, is it possible to make it count as a violate only if the caster is visible? To me, it's of very limited in practice since it causes a masquerade violation - this makes it only practical in combat areas, and the very long cooldown means it will only be used once or twice throughout a play through - I mean, how often do you run out of Blood points that you'd choose to cast Theft of Vitae over say, I dunno, Blood Purge or attack with more conventional means?
