| If anyone has gone through the Ash Sewers in Hollywood yet... what did you think? Too Easy?

If it's anything like the stripper quest I can guess at it's 'fun' value.. I actually couldn't complete the quest at the low combat stats my character had...

Yeah, the stripper quest was a surprise too... but managable. I tried it both ways, to make sure you didn't lose XP for killing the stripper's 'friends'; but you actually get a bit more if you take them out too... without the civilians knowing, of course. The Ash Sewer quest... without giving too much away, remember to take your asbestos underwear. Um, maybe two or three layers. Took me more than a dozen tries to survive. My Assamite had Melee 7, Defense 7 (pretty good for Hollywood, but no combat ninja), and no Discipline higher than 2... Even with all combat-related disciplines running constantly (including Blood Heal), it was rough. Once I reached the subway tunnel, I kept trying to draw just a few Hunters at a time back into the sewer tunnels, but the bastards insisted on coming as a group! Zer0 - Seriously, I think there's a bit too much fire in the Ash Sewer quest. All but 3 of the hunters had fire weapons. (Those other 3 were katanas, by the way.) I can't wait for the Monastery... Do they all have flamethrowers and chainsaws?

| Blessed Fire Chainsaw... Now that sounds like a cool weapon for a Hunter. | |

Mm, ouch, I think that particular quest might be better with a ranged character.. fire arrows or not you can still duck behind a wall when they fire unlike when you're trying to run at them.. I guess celerity is going to get a boost before I try that with my Assimite..

I'm glad we're talking about this because I had a feeling that the Ash Sewer quest would be too hard, but I didn't know until other's started playing it. Which would you prefer, less powerful weapons but the same amount of hunters? Or less hunters but the same firey kick ass weapons. The monastary is actually similiar to vanilla. I'm sure it will be tough but then again so will your character at that point. I can tone down the Ash sewer quest, I just need to know which you prefer to have it.

| My vote is for same number of hunters, just a bit less fire. The vanilla version had about four or five guys with regular crossbows, which don't really do much in Bloodlines because there's no chance of being staked (at least, it's never happened to me). So upgrading them to the pyro crossbows makes sense. But cut back the total number of fire weapons, so that only about half the hunters have them. Give some of them their shotguns back; those were bad enough. Definitely keep the feisty redheads in there, though. I like that skin. I know they're trying to kill me, but eye candy is eye candy. | |

| HAHA ok! Request granted.
Do you like the hunter reskins I made? The black on black just didn't do it for me so I added some dark red as a nice secondary color, I really like it. I didn't touch the trench coat hunters, not really much to do with those guys.

| I did like the red-shirted guys. Wondered if it was a Star Trek joke, since all the red shirts die. But it does look better than the black. The ones in the trenchcoats remind me of "Highlander: The Series". Used to like that show. Only the first movie was good, though. | |

| Childe and I reworked this entire quest greatly. First off, we made it an option to talk to Ash and tell him to stay back, he also now wields a gun and is a pretty decent shot.
Some of the weapons were swapped out from fiery nasties to more conventional weapons, so though this quest is still a challenge, it should be alot more doable.
