My computer blew out so I had to redownload all my tools. Filters, brushes, photos, textures, ect. I did not choose the name but I was told that it was some obscure reference to Salem. Didn't like it at first, but it grew on me.This was both a request from a friend and test of my ability without my comfortable set of tools I've gathered over a time spanning over several years. My friend said she loved it, and that it couldn't be more perfect for her. Kudos to her for the concept and request. Her specifications were simply that I use the model image and character name she provided.
I'm actually pretty greatful. What I lacked in certain tools I made up for with older techniques that were more hands on and admittedly less lazy. Made me realize there some things I had grown to dependant on.
So much fun to make. The backround was constructed with care and attention to detail. It represents a fun with nostalgia, textures, and perhaps the reinvitention of my craft--both new elements and reconnecting with older methods. The blood was hand drawn and the texture and contours of it tempered into realism.
I have a malkavian(lolalways), a nos, and a Ventrue in the works so stay tuned.
